chap 11- is he a rapist?

Swara started walking. With each step her heart was beating very fast. Sanskar's mind was not able to guess the reason why she was being called.
Rajat: dr swara bose right. Final year pg student.
Swara: yes.
Rajat: the guard told us that you went to the stairs which are deserted in the midnight with dr sanskar.
Swara: yes.
Rajat: can you tell me the reason.
Swara's lips trembled. She looked at sanskar. Sanskar felt an anger building up inside him.
Swara: actually we had some fight. And to resolve that...
Rajat: oh... fight.. but dr sanskar is very senior to you. What sort of fight you have.
Swara: that was personal matter..
Rajat(sarcastically): ohhh... personal matter.. personal fights to be resolved at personal space.
Rp stood up.
Rp: my lord.. he is trying to degrade her image.
Judge: maintain the dignity mr rajat.
Rajat frowned. He again looked at swara.
Rajat: when did you come back?
Swara: after 20 mins approx.
Rajat: acha.. tell me what sort of relations you do have with dr sanskar?
Swara again trembled. Sanskar looked at swara. He wanted to punch rajat hard this moment.
Swara: he is my senior doctor.
Rajat: ohh.. and what sort of senior junior relationship you do have? Like dancing together.. singing together... and.. in his cabin.. alone together...
Sanskar tightened his fists. He felt anger boiling inside him.
Swara: you should mind your language mr rajat.
Rajat: i am sorry my lord. But even when sanskar was in relationship with kavita he had illegitimate relationship with dr swara. This proves whatever ms kavita said in witness box was true.
Swara: what are you saying?
She suddenly felt herself numb. Accusations like this on her.
Rp: my lord.. he is maligning swara's charecter.
Rajat: i am saying the facts. Mr sanskar had illegitimate relationships with dr swara...
A voice echoed in the court room. STOP..
Sanskar spoke this. His eyes were red. His lips were trembling.
Sanskar: what do you all want to hear.. that i am a rapist. Yes i am a rapist. Yes i tried to rape that girl that night. My lord.. i confess my crimes.
Everybody was shocked. Rajat smirked. A drop of tear escaped from swara's eyes. Dp and ap were shocked.
Judge: dr sanskar.. you know what you are saying?
Sanskar: yes.. yes my lord. I confess my crimes. I am in my complete senses. I accept whatever punishment you give to me.
Judge: court time is over. Next hearing will be tommorrow.

Sanskar came out of the court. He was walking with heavy steps towards the police van. He knew one thing.. he can never see swara in pain. Her charecter can not be pointed out by anybody. He did not care what come for him next.. but he knew noone can say a word to swara.

Swara came out of court room. She saw sanskar being taken away by police. She sat on the bench and hid her face. Tears escaped from her eyes. She was sobbing. A voice came TCH TCH TCH...
Swara looked up. She found kavita smirking at her.
Swara: you.... you only planned all this na.
Kavita: aww . You intelligent creature.. yes.. awww mai dar gyi..
Swara fumed in anger.
Kavita: i knew..i knew he will do this for you. I told rajat to provoke him. And you were the medium.
Swara frowned.
Swara: i wish i had poison so that i can inject you with it
Kavita: ha ha ha... joke.. dr swara bose.. i am here to say sorry for all those words by my brother. But we had no way left.
Saying so kavita turned her face and started to go. Swara held her hand. She turned her face to her.
Kavita: what..
Swara: it's ok to leti jaiye..
Swara gave a tight slap on kavita's cheek. She held her cheek with her hand.
Kavita: you...
Suddenly another slap on her cheek was felt. Swara was burning with rage.
Swara: this is from sanskar sir. Now leave from here and count your days. I will make sure your crimes come out.
Saying so swara moved from there but stopped seeing ap and dp standing there.
Ap: you did the best thing beta.

@maheshwari mansion.
Ap sat in front of god. Tears were falling from her eyes. Swara sat beside her.
Swara: m sry aunty. Because of me..
Ap: shhh.. no need... my son has done this to save a girl's honour. Nothing is more proud than this.
Swara looked at dp. He too nodded. She came out and sat in her car. She parked right in front of police station. Rp called her.
Rp: beta.. i have talked to officer. He ll let you meet him.
Swara: thx uncle.
She entered police station. Without a word officer guided her to sanskar's cell. He was sitting on a bench lost in thoughts. He suddenly felt a gaze on him. He saw swara standing there. Her eyes were wet. Her face was flushed. He laughed a helpless smile. Swara ran towards him. She sat on the bench near him and engulfed him in a bone crushing hug. Sanskar was not ready for this. But he placed his hands on her back. He felt something wet on his shirt. He heard her sobbing. He forgot his pain for a while and cupped her face.
Swara: sir.. why... why...
Sanskar smiled.
Sanskar: swara.. many things left to be said.. many things left to be felt..but... koi nhi.. just be happy in your life always.
Tears were brimming down her eyes.
Sanskar: tomorrow i will no longer be doctor sanskar.. i will be sanskar.. but i want you to become world's best doctor.
He wiped her tears.
Swara: i cant pay you back even with my life..
Sanskar: shhhh...
He hugged her. He did not want her to stay away from him. But he had to. She had no future with him now.
Sanskar: find a suitable match for you.. as intelligent as you are.. who will love you to the core.. and marry him..
Swara suddenly pushed him away. His face was red with anger.
Swara: shut up... shut up sir... you can give up but i wont... by hook or crook i will make sure to do every possible thing to prove you are innocent. This is my promise.
She turned away but sanskar held her hand tightly and pulled her towards him.
She almost fell in his arms. Sanskar hugged her tightly. His eyes were wet.
Swara: dont cry.. i have trust on my god. I know he will not let injustice happen with his children.
She cupped his face one last time.

It was evening. Swara came to nearby temple. She covered her head with dupatta.
Swara:(monologue) god.. i dont know what i feel for sanskar sir.. but if whatever i feel is true then please show me way. Please.
She closed her eyes. Suddenly priest came to her.
Priest: beta.. you came after many days.
Swara: ji pujari ji..
Priest: badi pareshan lg rhi ho.
Swara: ji..
Priest: beta..20 kms from here is famous temple of ma durga. Every problem is solved by her. You can go there.
Swara listened his words. She knew her last resort was the eternal power only. Maybe she is calling her.
Swara drove the car. She was driving fast. All she knew was she had to save sanskar anyhow. Everytime she recalled his condition his heart shivered. She parked her car in front of temple. It was quite old. Without wasting time she entered. She kept dupatta on her head.
Swara:(monologue) hey bhagwan... if anything happens to sanskar i will not be able to forgive myself. Please bhgawan.. i know and you know as well he is a justful man. The one who saved me from getting raped...how can he do such things to a girl. Please god... please.. show some way.
She opened her eyes. Aarti was over. Swara realised she was standing there for more than half an hour. She wiped her tears and turned. Suddenly a girl of 22-23 years of age came to her.
Girl: mam.. can you please give donation to this temple.
Swara nodded. She took out 100 rs note from her purse.
Girl: thank you mam.. please fill this form.
Swara nodded. She started to fill that form.
Girl: thank you .
Girl turned. She went. She turned to have a look at swara. Swara felt her eyes wanted to say something. But the girl was joined by other girl. Swara was shocked to see the other girl. She was the one who was pretending as rape victim against sanskar. Before she could find her out ... she was gone.
