MMD stands for MikuMikuDance. It's a 3D animation program where you can make the characters dance to your favorite songs or reinact your favorite memes/vines. Or you can even make cool poster-like edits as well.
The MMD community is actually pretty huge. You can find them from places like YouTube to DeviantART.
Personally, I'm not a huge MMD fan. I'm very picky about the motions and stuff. I don't like very stiff motions. I like smooth motions to where it looks like it's from Project DIVA or made professionally.
I do have MMD myself but I've never gotten too into it tbh. Lol. Mainly because of time and my schedule's always quite cramped so yeah.
