I opened the refrigerator and grabbed a stick of butter from a drawer. "Why are you grabbing butter?!" Brandon snapped at me as I turned around in confusion, how the heck did you know I was grabbing butter?! I thought as he tried to get out of the doorframe, but he just ended up cracking it even more.

"wood you stop struggling for one second?!" I said trying as hard as I could not to laugh. "DON'T PUN ME YOU, BUTTER HOLDING MANIAC!" he stiffened even more as he heard me walking toward him.

I rubbed the butter in between my hands and looked at him, he wasn't facing me but I could tell he knew I was smirking mischievously.

"now hold still." I was struggling not to laugh when I touched his arm with my hand and he squealed like a girl. "holy crap it's cold!" I busted up laughing as I continued to lather his arms in butter.

I had completely covered all of the areas stuck in the doorframe and suddenly got a great idea. "hold on don't move." I said walking back over to the refrigerator and grabbed some ice. I walked back over to him and grabbed a small stool so I could whisper to him.

"this is for calling me a, maniac." I whispered into his ear and ran the ice along the back of his neck. he got unstuck from the doorframe, but ended up falling onto his back from surprise.

he snarled at me as he tried to get up off the floor but his hands were covered in butter, so it just ended up making him fall back onto the floor making me bust up laughing.

"what the crap are the two of you doing?" my laughter was halted as Doc appeared in the doorway in a nice black trench coat, black slacks and black shoes.

we continued to look at him like we were kids that were caught doing something we weren't suppose to do. he glared at us tiredly, and sighed while rubbing his eyes in a sign of irritation.

"well, I have to show you two something so follow me." he started to walk back down the stairs, Brandon tried to follow, but he had to crouch down and walk sideways down the stairs as I giggled to myself the entire way.

the lab looked the exact same except for one of the test tubes were completely charred on the inside. I am guessing that is were the explosion came from. I thought and tried to look inside the tube but I couldn't see anything.

Doc leaned against a table and looked at us tiredly. "I have figured out that all of the cells half-lives in my body have been times to a third of what they were."

"English please." I said as Brandon chuckled a little at my confusion. "ugh, I age a lot slower and I have the body of a 20 year old, a third of my usual age." my eyes widened and my jaw dropped as he calmly folded his arms.

"I am going to be faking my death as dr. Tolya and I will change my name, if we are stuck in these forms. I advise you do the same, Brandon." Doc searched through a stack of books behind him and handed it to me.

the book was a dark purple and had a design of an ace card engraved on the front of it. "my old friend, Ace gave me this book. it tells about different magical creatures and entities of this world that only a few people can see....and you are one of them, Ali."

~flash back to when Ali was only 6 years old~

some bushes rustled in the dark woods just outside of the playground. "Brandon, did you see that." I pointed to the woods for Brandon to see, but he was too focused on the monkey bars to hear me.

I gave out a huff and ran over to the edge of the woods trying to see what caused the rustling. I walked in a little further into the woods, but before I knew it I was lost in the forest, but I didn't care.

the ground was soft from the grass, moss, and flowers of all different colors that covered the ground like a giant blanket....nice and cosy. the trees seemed to go on forever and cover the sky making everything under them shaded from the blazing sun from above.
