Part 18 - Just a little chat

I watched Ace and Vedger walk back into the living room where I was. Vedger was snuggly smiling while Ace looked a little tense. I watched Ace as sat next to me on the ground and looked at Vedger with flashing eyes.

Ace explained what was going on to Vedger and I watched as Vedger got confused, but continued to listen.

"And now we're here for your help." Ace said and I watched as Vedger tried to piece everything together before he gave me a questioning glance.

"so...wait...your a human who Ace kidnapped, but got away. then he followed you, broke into your home, and waited for you to wake up so he could force you to open a door. he then shoved you into DreamNest transforming your entire molecular structure to be related to the element Argon. now your trying to find her family who is also stuck down here?!" Vedger questioned and glanced between the both of us questionably.

"dang, when you put it like that you have been a jerk to me." I said and laughed as Ace tensed up.

"but hey, you also gave me food, a place to stay, and you have been nice to me the past three days." Ace looked up at me and seemed pleased from how his body relaxed and the lights in his eyes softened.

I smiled pleasantly at him and looked back at Vedger. he told us to follow him as he walked into a back room that was completely dark.

Ace rubbed his hands together and lit up the room with a blue glow. Vedger rummaged through some boxes and found a small glass orb.

As Vedger picked it up and pointed it towards me it starts to glow a dark red.

"this should help you guys. when you point it in a certain direction it will glow the color of the person you're looking for. like you said your friends name is Brandon, but he was turned blue from the element Cobalt. when you point it in a direction he is in it will glow blue." Vedger said and handed the orb to me.

"don't drop it." Vedger said and walked out of the room as Ace and I followed behind him.

Ace and I made our way back to the house and began packing a few things. I just grabbed some food and I was done. Ace on the other hand grabbed a four knives, a sword, two daggers, and bag of food.

"I didn't think someone could hold so many sharp objects on them!" My tone had humor laced in it as Ace puffed his chest up in pride. We left the house and began walking out of town.

"Hey, Messenger!" A rough voice said from behind us causing Ace to sigh deeply before we slowly turned around. It was a dog with black fur and about ten other dogs with him.

The dog with the black fur had a sword that looked stained from what I assumed was blood. The shirt the dog was wearing was white, but was also stained from blood.

"You give us the girl and we'll leave you alone. But if you don't!... well..." the dog demanded and swung his sword at a nearby mushroom cutting it cleanly in half. the top half of the mushroom fell to the grown with a loud thud.

"We will just have to take her by force!" I began to feel anger run through my veins. this guy really thinks he can just come over to us and try to take me?! I thought as the dog and his goons began laughing evilly.

Ace seemed calm and quiet with his hands behind his back. we stood there for a little while before he said something.

"Well... I guess I can get my hands dirty. Step back Ali." He asked of me, but I stood my ground and smiled evilly at some of the dogs.

"And let you have all of the fun I don't think so." I heard Ace chuckle a little as I felt my soft smile grow more mischievous.

I felt something in me crack. Almost little it was a separate organ, but one you couldn't touch.

I felt my body grow very light as I felt my feet leave the ground. My breath gave off dark grew fumes.

A few of the dogs ran towards us, but stopped right in front of me and I watched as my breath stopped them in their tracks. They began choking and holding their throats as if there was a hand there suffocating them slowly.

Ace's body changed as electricity ran through him from the angry he was holding back inside.

His feathers and the tips of his fingers turned to a electric blue. His horns turned dark blue and you could see sparks come off them.

"Let's have some fun!" Ace said making the pack of dogs uneasy.
