Ali's POV
it was quiet, warm, and everything was white.
"where am I?" I asked myself and looked around. for some reason I was calm. I walked forward and saw a perfect silver bench. I sat on the bench and continued to look around in ignorant bliss.
I was wearing a white dress and I was nice and clean.
"hello, Ali." a soft voice said. the voice was like silk. I was a voice I hadn't heard in a while. I turned around and saw my mother that had died many years ago. she was wearing a long white dress and her long brown hair was in a long braid. she sat down next to me with a bright and soft smile.
"hello, mother." I said and continued to look around in the vast white room. I was kicking my legs back and forth.
"are you excited to leave the DreamNest?" my mother asked and I shrugged.
"or are you going to stay with Ace?"
"I like it here, it's quiet and peaceful." I responded.
"honey, you need to go back. Ace is worried and you still need to save Brandon and Doc." she said making me frown.
"they don't need me." I shook it off and smiled again. I heard a faint cry came from the distance. as time passed the crying grew louder until a figure appeared in front of the bench. it was Ace he was crying and holding my limp body.
"Ace, wants you back. you need to decide if you're going to stay with Ace or leave with Brandon and Doc. I'm sending you back to the living world. I love you and I'm always watching over you." my mother said and I saw black.
I slowly opened my eyes to see Ace's feathery head. I lifted my hand and rubbed the back of his head. his crying had stopped as he quickly looked up into my eyes. I smiled at him, but before I could do anything he lifted his mask and kissed me on the lips.
I kissed him back. it was warm, and blissful. it was like that white room with my mom. we broke apart and I opened my eyes to see Ace's eyes. they were the deepest blue I had ever seen. before I could see the rest of his face he put his mask back on.
(Oh, you thought I was going to let her see his entire face yet?! Well think again) short intermission by Mckenzie Mount.
"I'm so happy you're alive." he hugged me tighter and I returned the hug. it was dark out now. Ace put me down and grabbed all of our stuff in his arms.
"we should find a hotel room." Ace said and I agreed. all of my bones had been healed, but my head was still bleeding. I followed Ace down the street, William wasn't in the street anymore. the only thing left from the fight was a puddle of blood.
we walked up to a tall building. it had a sign but it was in a strange language the symbols shifted and said Stratford Inn.
so this must be the hotel. I thought and walked through the door Ace was holding open for me. a butterfly lady was standing behind a tall receptionist desk writing on some papers. when the lady looked up and saw Ace she offered Ace a very shaky smile.
"how may I help you?" she asked and spotted me hiding in Ace's cloak. she clearly pretended not to see me and looked back at Ace.
"I wound like a room please." Ace said and was handed a key for exchange for some coins. we walked up three flight of stairs and came to a room with a mushroom for a handle. the mushroom glue green when Ace held the key next to it and the door opened.
the room had a single bed and a bathroom.
"Oh my gosh! A shower!" I said and blissfully twirled around in the middle of the room. Ace put our things down by the bed and looked around.
"there's only one bed..." Ace trailed off causing me to stop twirling around and slowly look at him. his mask had a blue tint on it where his cheeks would be. I smirked while looking at him.
hehehehe! I thought and flopped onto the bed and rubbed its sheets.
"you want to join me?" I said seductively. Ace's mask turned a bright blue making me burst into laughter.
