Chapter 1: Days Gone

I lean on the balcony railing, watching the view while pulling out a stick of cigarette from the box. I light it up and started smoking as I enjoy the scenery of Planeptune.

Perseus: When is Lady Nepgear coming back? It's been 3 years..... what's taking them so long?

I let out a smoke and sigh afterwards. I gaze at the pendant she gave me as this is the sign that she's been there for me for years and it's also my lucky charm.

???: What are you doing here?

Perseus: Oh hey Reyna. Just chilling out here.

Reyna: How many times do I have to tell you that to button your coat? And pull down your sleeves. You are working under the CPU.

Perseus: Does it matter? They are gone for 3 years.

Reyna: But it doesn't mean that you'll not dress property.

This is Reyna. Before becoming a Basilicom guard 3 years ago she's the youngest knight and she's also my mentor whom she taught me swordmanship for all these years. I am thankful enough that I became a 2nd tier knight. The knighthood is not that big compared the to previous generations from what I've heard, but we knights are not thag easy to take down, especially Reyna by our side.

Reyna: I hate to say this but Lady Nepgear would be disappointed if she sees you smoking.

Perseus: I'm sure she would. She may even grab the stick from my mouth and throw it away.

Reyna: Do you think they'll be back?

Perseus: I have faith in them to be back here safe and sound. If anything were to happen to Lady Nepgear, I'll be breaking my own dumb promise to her when I was a child.

I kind of regret making that promise to her, to protect her at all cost. I may be a 2nd tier Knight, but I'm not that strong enough to protect to the likes of Lady Nepgear herself.

Reyna: I know how much you miss her but we gotta do our job, preventing this ASIC from spreading their piracy. They even have loads of factories left here and we need to dispatch soon and destroy one of them, letting them take it as a warning sign.

Perseus: I hear ya. Let me finish this up before we leave.

For three years we've been taking care of this ASIC fuckers especially that damn hooded green haired girl. The most annoying one I've ever met. She likes to run away and it is hard for us to catch her.

Besides that, I have another issue I have concerns with. I have this black wings tattoo thing that magically appears behind my back. It must be a curse or something upon growing up.

As I am done smoking, I throw it to the ground and stomp on it to put the fire out and I slightly nudge it through the railings with my foot falling from the sky then Reyna and I with the other Knights dispatch ourselves towards the ASIC factory to stop them from producing their lame piracy products.

There are only 5 of us, according to Lady Histoire that one of their factory is located near Virtua forest, it's more of a dungeon so there are no people wandering there except for hunters or even monsters themselves roaming around.

Upon arriving at the factory, I kick the door opening it wide and there are people inside it.

Perseus: I'm sorry, are we late for the party?

???: Tch! You again?

Perseus: Oh look it's the runaway girl aka Linda.

Linda: Hm! At least you call me by name except for those twerps who calls me underling.
