Chapter 8 - Possession

As Brave and Linda flee away from the factory, the sudden power within me vanish and I collapse on the floor. I can hear voices calling out to my name, but I'm in my limit and lost consciousness. 

Feeling something heavy on my legs, I open my eyes and look around the area. I'm......in Nepgear's room. "What the hell happened?" That's the first question brought up to my head. I notice that someone is sleeping on my legs, and it's Nepgear herself. I am kind of confused right now. Why am I here to be exact? I look at my left arm and it is wrapped in a bandage and it is being held with an arm sling. 

Compa: You're finally awake!

Compa enters the room and she is surprised to see me awake. I want some good answers too, I....can't remember a damn thing.

Perseus: What happened Compa? 

Compa: Don't you remember? You collapsed back at the factory leaving a nasty wound on your left arm.

As she mentions about the factory, an image of Reyna pops up from my head. I....remember.....she was stabbed by Brave. I couldn't help myself and get worried.

Perseus: Reyna! Where is she?

Compa's expression shifted to a sympathetic expression. Don't tell me.....she's....really dead.....

Compa: I'm sorry.....but.....Ms. Reyna has passed.......the whole knighthood passed. But they already have a proper burial when you're still asleep.

I let out a heavy sigh as hearing that. So it wasn't a dream after all. I can't remember the whole details. All I can remember is that I fought Brave inside that factory. I cannot do shit for Reyna, Leroy, Geek, and Zeke. I wasn't able to save them. Reyna's last request was......to take care of Shiva.....

Moments later, I can feel Nepgear is waking up from where she is sleeping. She lifts up her head and as she shifts her face towards my direction, she suddenly leaps forward and embraces me in her arms.

Nepgear: Goodness.....*sniff* I'm glad.....I'm glad you're fine *sniff* I thought I was going to lose you. I'm glad you're fine.

I pat Nepgear on the head with my right hand to calm her down. How long was I out to be her this worried about me?

Perseus: I'm sorry if I made you worried.

Nepgear shakes her head in response and smiles eagerly.

Nepgear: That doesn't matter. I'm just glad you're fine.

I slowly push Nepgear away from the hug, because my left arm is starting to ache. Speaking of left arm, how did I get this wound? I can't remember how, but I do remember that it had a burnt wound around it.

Perseus: How long was I out?

Compa: You were out for a week due to exhaustion.

That's plausible. I can still remember how heavy my body was like I was going to die. How did I survive that day? With Brave was such a strong opponent, I'm sure he was going to finish me off, but.....somehow....I am still alive.

Perseus: Will someone enlighten me; what happened that day?

Nepgear: Uni and I aren't really sure.....you were collapsed on the floor and everyone else.....is....gone.

I guess it's up to me to remember what happened that day since Nepgear and the others didn't know about it. I try to get up from the bed, but Nepgear stops me.

Nepgear: What are you doing? You should rest.

Perseus: I need to see someone. I'll be okay. Just let me stand up.
