Chapter 10 - Assault

As a mysterious attacker fell from the ceiling, he started a disruption making all the people run and panic towards the exit, as Uni guides them outside.

The guards are getting killed by the mysterious man one by one, being unable to bear seeing them die in vain, Nepgear lets go of my hand and she transforms into her HDD form.

Perseus: Nepgear!

As she tries to neutralize the mysterious man, he took out his crossbow and shoots Nepgear with it, and she suddenly reverted back to her human form. She helplessly goes down on her knees as she is approached by the mysterious attacker while pointing his crossbow towards Nepegar. What the hell is up with that crossbow? Did he use a specialized arrow to disable Nepgear's HDD? Out of frustration and anger, I run towards the mysterious attacker, got both of my feet on the air and kicking on the man's face.

Random citizen: OHHHHH!!!! WHAT A KICK FROM THE KNIGHT!!

Perseus: Would you mind and get the fuck out of here?

Scaring off that person, he runs towards the exit. I run after the man who flew at the top of the pillar and I chase after him through the air. As kicking him, he dodged out of the way and as he lands on another pillar, I landed on the pillar just next to him, pulling out my gun and aim it at him while he does the same way with his crossbow.

Nepgear: Perseus!!

Nepgear looked up to me at the top of the pillar. I have to get this guy's attention and let both Nepgear and Uni escape from here.

Perseus: Nepgear! Go with Uni and get out of here! I'll take care of this.

Nepgear: But Perseus-!

Uni: We'll come back here as soon as the citizens escape safely! 

Uni takes Nepgear's hands and she pulls her towards the exit. I never imagined it will go this way. But. This is pissing me off for ruining a day.

Perseus: You got a lot of nerve for breaking in here.

???: Just doing my job. You're supposed to be a knight right? *laughs* The way how you dress, you don't look part of it *laughs*

Perseus: Oh, very funny. Maybe making you laugh will be the last thing you'll do before you die!

I leap towards him and pull the trigger, shooting him, but he dodges it. He strikes his sword and I block it with my gun, but due to the impact, I slip off from the edge and fall down to the floor. I suddenly kick on to another pillar, launching myself and I land on the ground safely.

He jumps off from the top of the pillar and lands an overhead strike and I roll out of the way and shoot him but missing him. He is not an easy opponent otherwise, the guards shouldn't be putting up a fight against him that much but they ended up getting killed. I would love to use my arm, but I can't risk it. Who knows when those two will come back here.

I run towards him, shooting him with my gun and wasted some ammo. He jumps back and I chase after him and I also jump in mid-air, opening wide both of my legs and locking him on to his waist and slam him down on the ground. Aiming him with my gun and pulling the trigger, but he quickly gets up on the ground dodging my bullet. He sure is fast for a human being.

He pulls out his crossbow and began shooting me. I dodge his bolts and shoot it down with my gun. As my bullets run out. I drain down the magazine from my gun and throw a spare magazine from my sleeves. As it lands, the magazine is inserted beautifully in my gun. Our fight hasn't been that long, but both of us are relaxed, but I have to stop him no matter what.

???: Not bad.....for a knight with only one arm. Unlike those fallen guards.

Perseus: Tch. What a crock.
