Chapter 5 - Conflict

It's been a week since Nepgear's awakening from her slumber. From time to time, I accompany her to do some quest for her to rehabilitate since she hasn't fought and moved around that much from 3 years ago.

But most of the time, Nepgear's been doing paperwork and cleaning the basilicom. It's been ages since I have last seen her HDD form. I mean, she's graceful.....beautiful....ah, she's wonderful in her HDD form, but I also like her human form too.

On our next day off, Reyna invited me out to go out and grab some coffee and sweets in the cafe. That reminds me, I did receive a pamphlet about it. It has a lot of varieties of sweets and cakes. They also have teas, coffee, and chocolate drinks. 

On the day of our outing with Reyna, I reminded Nepgear that I'll be going out, and she wishes me to be safe on the way out. Then Reyna and I met up in the basilicom. She wears your everyday girly outfit that consists of a black cardigan, white shirt, and pink skirt. And the two of us sets our way to the cafe.

As we arrive at the cafe, we enter inside and we are formally greeted by the floor staff. They guide us to our table and we take a seat. On the table, there is a menu there, I pick it up and browse through the catalogs. As we are done picking out an order, we call out to one of the floor staff and tell them our order and they took off.

Reyna: It's been a long time since the two of us get out, just the two of us.

Oh yeah, despite her title, she is a bit older than me. She is 20 as of now and has the talent of swordsmanship, claiming the top tier Basilicom Knight. She has taught me swordsmanship when I was just a guard. 

Putting her title aside, it is been a long time since I went out with Reyna, I mean, sure it is quite busy here without Nepgear around here those times.

Perseus: Yeah, I mean, I haven't seen you in those clothes before. You look wonderful.

As hearing those, Reyna widens her eyes and she blushes.

Reyna: Idiot! What are you saying?!.......Um...thanks.

I have a bad habit of being blunt at times. But, I ain't no liar. She does look cute today. I mean, during work, she has this serious tone, but outside work, her personality changes drastically. It's like she has two personalities within her. If I'm going to guess, during outside work, like the Reyna in front of me is in fact the true her.

Complimenting her clothes, I wasn't feeling any embarrassment. I wonder why? But if I try to compliment Nepgear, I am having a hard time to convey those words to her. And if I did compliment her, I'll get embarrassed afterward.

Perseus: All right. So.....what do you mostly do in your day off?

Reyna: Oh, I mostly play with my little sister.

Oh yeah, she did mention about having a little sister. I also heard that their parents died before Reyna become a basilicom knight.

Reyna: How about you?

As Reyna asks me the same question, I never thought about it. I basically do very randomly on my day off, whether doing some quests, wander around Planeptune and a lot of stuff. I don't have any specific things to do. I just do whatever I feel like I want to do.

Perseus: I really can't say. It's very random.

Reyna: I knew you'll say something like that. I mean I know what kind of person you are.

She is not wrong, I mean she's been with me for the last 3 years, training me or even go out, whether we have the time. I think....I want to ask her.....if the Reyna I know in the basilicom is the same as the Reyna right now.
