Chapter 9 - Share Festival

With Compa and IF knowing about my arm, my secret is safe with them. I haven't used my arm in duty since I don't want to expose it to everyone, especially to Nepgear. It's been a week since so. We've been visiting Reyna's grave along with Shiva, to say our prayers to her. She is indeed a good role model of the knights, a good mentor and a good sister for Shiva. With this new power......I'll be able to protect Nepgear. 

Shiva: Are you done?

Shiva asks as I am almost done saying my prayers for Reyna. As I am finished, I turn to Shiva and nod in response and I hold her hand and we go back to Planeptower. Today is also another day off for me, so I can pretty much train with my new arm.

Shiva: How's your arm?

Shiva asks about my arm while walking back to Planeptower. Well, I also can't let her know about this. 

Perseus: Oh.....I was told....it will take a lot of time for my arm to recover.

Of course, I told her a lie. If she knows about this monstrous arm, I don't know how she'll react, let alone if she'll feel comfortable around me who is not normal. I am still human, but I still don't know where this power came from. But I know that this is indeed a curse.

Shiva: Oh I see. I hope your arm recovers soon.

She wears a sincere smile and we go our way back to Planeptower. Dropping Shiva off to Planeptower, I borrow another sword from the armory and I head my way towards LAN Castle. As soon as exiting the basilicom, Nepgear stops me by calling out my name.

Nepgear: Perseus. You're going training again?

I turn around my head, facing her and nod in response. But instead of being worried, she wears a smile and says;

Nepgear: Get back home safe!

Nepgear waves goodbye to me and I smile back and head my way towards LAN castle. I was told by IF that there are some strong enemies in that dungeon to practice with. Walking along the way to LAN castle, I've been hearing rumors about this cursed sword lying somewhere around Gamindustri. Well, I usually don't believe in this crap, but with my left arm, I changed my mind.

 A few hours have passed and I return back to Planeptower. For now, I can grab enemies by using my left arm and slam them to the ground or even throw them. I can also use my left arm's claws as a weapon and I can also use it to block any upcoming attack, like how I was able to block and withstand a dragon's attack. But fighting the monsters in LAN castle was no different from fighting back in Monster Cave.

As arriving back, at the main hall, I can see Histoire and Nepgear talking to each other. As Histoire's notice my presence, she calls me from the distant and I walk closer to them.

Histoire: Good timing Perseus.

Perseus: Yes lady Histoire, is there something you want to say?

I mean who knows? With ASIC's activity is decreased, I pretty have nothing else to do besides keeping watch on the Basilicom. It.....is kind of lonely without Reyna fighting by my side. I swear.......I'll avenge your death and so as everyone else.

Histoire: I've been thinking of holding a Festival with the CPU Candidate Lastation Uni together with Nepgear.

A festival featuring Nepgear and Uni huh? This is a good tactic to recover their lost shares rather than doing quests all over again.

Nepgear: I'm nervous.

I shifted my gaze towards Nepgear as she sighs in distress.

Perseus: What's wrong?
