Chapter 2 - Return

After dealing with Uni's problems, we decided to call it a day and return to our specific basilicoms. I honestly never thought that we'll actually became friends that day. Unlike Uni, I hear rumors about her sister, Lady Noire that she has specifically has no friends besides Lady Neptune. 

I am also surprised that Uni recommended me a new magnum. I mean, despite I barely use a firearm, I am kind of thankful for her. I am really not fond of firearms.....but I should try getting used to it. Well, I'll try and clear one quest with using only my brand new magnum.

While I still have time left, I immediately head to the guild in Planeptune and I enter inside the guild center and I approach the guild lady.

Guild Lady: Welcome! What quest you'll be doing?

I skim around the list to see if there's any easy ones for target practice and just pretty near here so I can immediately call it a day. I chose an extermination quest specifically, eliminating a group of pixelvaders. The one who proposed this quest said that he was attacked by them and manage to escape, he'll be obliged that someone would eliminate them for him.

The rewards may be low and it is surprisingly close here but that's not really my purpose here. I just want to get used to using this new magnum I've got. I know firearms are beneficial to battle. Uni said that her primary weapon is her rifle, and she also mentioned that she never, ever held a sword in her life. Speaking of weapons, when I was a kid, I was fond of using a sword like Nepgear, because she used to take me out for quest when I was just around 12 years old and I really looked up to her. She was cool and graceful as she swings her beam saber. I am happy that she gave me the same beam saber she used upon entering as a basilicom knight when I was 15.

I accept the quest and I am of to the dungeon called Monster Cave, where the pixelvader lies. I decided that I should walk here is because.....gas can be a little bit pricy now a days. As I reach the monster cave which is located just outskirts of the city, I enter inside and just by the corner, I can see those groups of Pixelvader. I pull out my brand new magnum and I aim it towards one of the vaders, I pull down the trigger and the reaction force of the launch made my right hand shake a lot. It perfectly hit the pixelvader and it disappears into dust of crystals. The remaining pixelvaders put their attentions towards me and all of them charges in. While they are still far away from me, I aim my magnum and keep on shooting them, killing them one by one. Geez, the vibration I can feel throughout my hand is weird, it must be because I don't use firearms that much. Maybe I'll get used to it. As my ammos ran out, I quickly reloaded and I started shooting them again until I wipe them all out.

They dropped an anthena and I pick it up from the ground. What really bothers me is that, why is the client bother proposing this quest, I mean this is a dungeon after all, so why bother going in here? Not really my problem or anything, since my work here is done, I walk all the way back to the guild center.

As I am walking my way back, I pull out a stick cigarettes and begin smoking. As I walk through the noisy streets of Planeptune, I can hear the chirper of the children, but one of their conversations piqued my interest.

Kid: Dude! I got all my games for free! Check them all out! I got loads of it! Thanks to ASIC that is!

Even kids these days are corrupted by these ASIC assholes, 3 long years without the CPU to take are of these. I really can't blame them. I never knew where they were headed that day. Lady Histoire said it was classified, even if I'm a 2nd tier Knight, we really don't have any reasons to know it . I really can't argue back, since she has a point. But I wanted to go that day, I begged but they said that I should stay here, to keep the basilicom on guard. I mean, even as a Knight, that is also our sworn duty.
