Chapter 7 - Awakening

Now that the conflict between Uni and Nepgear has been taken care of, now we are back to our usual daily life....is what at least I thought......but.....one fatal day happened.....that changed my life forever that I have never asked for.

Just, as usual, I am lounging around the main hall. It is rather getting boring nowadays. I haven't dispatched on another mission. With the decreased activities of ASIC, it is getting peaceful. And moments later, Reyna approaches me, like she has something to say to me.

Reyna: Hey uh, Perseus, do you have a minute?

It looks like she has a favor to ask. I wonder what it is? She is not the type to ask of me of favors unless it's mission related, but in this case, it's not. Is what my guts say.

Perseus: Yeah? What is it?

Reyna: I have a favor to ask of you. Lady Histoire will be dispatching us to an ASIC factory later......but......I want you to step out of it just for this day.

Stepping out from a mission? Unless it's a valid reason, I really don't mind at all. Though, what kind of reason will it be?

Perseus: As long as it is reasonable, I don't mind.

Reyna: Thank you. So.....this is regarding of Shiva.....I just want you to keep an eye on her. Today is her day off from school, and I don't have anyone to look out for her.

So basically, just going to babysit Shiva. I really don't mind. If Reyna can't find anyone, then I guess I don't have a choice.

Perseus: All right, I'll do it.

Reyna: I appreciate it Perseus. I already let Lady Histoire know about this. 

Well, if Lady Histoire doesn't mind, then I have no problems with that.

Perseus: Should I go to your house right now?

Reyna: Right now is a good time since we'll be dispatching soon, maybe for about 30 minutes.

30 minutes till their dispatch huh? Well, I hope they get home safe and sound as they finish that mission. I mean it's just another ASIC extermination mission, they'll finish it easy as pie like we always do.

I go up to my room and I change my clothes to my casual clothes and I head my way towards Reyna's house. I do hope I still remember where her house is.

As I walk through the neighborhood, at the distance, I can see a familiar house. It must be Reyna's house I'm sure of it.

Approaching the house, I hit the doorbell. And as it rang, I can hear footsteps coming from the inside. A girl opens the door, it's Shiva herself.

Shiva: Big brother Perseus! Are you here to look out for me?

Perseus: So Reyna already planned this out huh? Are you really sure you're okay sticking up with a dull and boring person like me?

Shiva: I don't mind. You're kind and I trust you.

I'm not really fond of people calling me kind. I.....just don't feel like it's right to call me one.

Without further ado, Shiva lets me inside the house. This place didn't change much ever since I last came here.

Shiva: Make yourself at home.

So.....I'm just going to spend my time here doing nothing? I mean, I don't want to bore Shiva out. And this is my first time looking out for someone, so I really don't know what I'm supposed how to act.
