I stayed silent. I felt guilty and ashamed.

Bakugo slapped the back of my head.

- Hey! I said angrily.
- You dumbass, don't think about chickening out now! You've already done the chicken for a few months now.

We arrived in front of the U.A gates. It was the end of the day, so the teachers were probably in the teachers lounge. On the way here, our friends updated us on many things.

I pulled my hood over my head as our 10 friends pushed us to the entrance. We entered the gates and went in the school, making our way to the teachers lounge.

- Wait here...

Kirishima entered and said a few words.

- Hey everyone!
- Good afternoon Kirishima.

The voice I heard was the one of the Toshinori, my mentor.

My eyes widened and a small smile creeped up on my face.

- What's up, Kirishima? asked Present Mic.
- Are you all recovering well from the villain attack? asked Midnight.
- Yes yes! But on our way back, we had a pleasant surprise!
- What kind of suprise? asked Aizawa.
- Oh! The best surprise! Guys!

He gestured for us to come. We walked in the teachers room.

Midnight gasped, Present Mic spat out his coffee, Aizawa's eyes widened and Toshinori froze.

- Midoriya and Uraraka! Is this a joke? It's not funny Kirishima!
- It's not a joke! Tell them guys.
- We're real! I said.

Midnight ran up to us and hugged us tightly.

- Oh my god, I can't believe this!

She was now crying. She let us go after a few seconds.

- You guys are all grown up now!
- Unfortunately, I said.

That made Present Mic laugh as he shaked my hand.

- Where did you guys go?!
- It's a long story... I said with a slight smile.
- Oh... ok!
- Midoriya... Ochako...

Aizawa approached us with a neutral look.

- Nice to see you both alive.

He smiled at us.

Then, Midnight gestured everyone to leave the room, including Ochako.

- I'll meet you outside, she whispered with a small smile.

They closed the door.

- Midoriya...

I turned back to meet my mentor's eyes.

Immediately, I teared up.

- I'm so sorry... I said. I'm so sorry I couldn't become a hero, I'm sorry I-

I was cut up by him hugging me. I hugged him back.

I felt ashamed.

- Wherever you were... you had a good reason, for sure. I'm guessing this reason is bad and that you went through a lot of things... I'm sorry my boy, that I wasn't here to protect you.

Tears were flowing down my cheeks now.

I chuckled.

- I'm old now Toshi, you shouldn't call me boy anymore.

He laughed and smiled.

- You're right... but you'll always be my boy, Midoriya.

I grinned.

- Guess what?
- This sounds like bad news.

I acted offended and he laughed.

- I'll pretend I didn't hear that- oh well! I passed on One for All!

His eyes widened.

- What?! When?! Who?!

I giggled.

- Oh! You know him very well! He's one of the 1-A students!

I gave him a few seconds of thinking. After a few seconds, he gasped as I grinned even more.

- No way...
- Yes way!
- The green haired boy is your successor?!
- Not only that!
- And he's your son as well?
- Bingo!

He smiled at me, eyes shining with pride and happiness.

- This is such good news Midoriya! I was hoping that you had passed it on already... but if I remember correctly, didn't this boy have a kind of mind control quirk?

I took a deep breath.

- He does. He inherited it from Ochako. These quirks were the quirks we acquired during the first year accident... remember?

He sighed.

- I remember very well... I understand now.

He smiled again.

- So, did you teach him some things?
- I've been training him not far from our apartment for a few months now! He's pretty good, he can already use more power than I could at his age.
- That's amazing! If you'd like me to... could I see him in action?

I gave him a grin.

- Of course!

He laughed.

- Aren't you a beam of energy.
- Huh, me?! Haven't I always been like that? I said.
- You're right.

He rolled his eyes while smirking.

- Also Midoriya... do you still have the power left?
- I do. It seems that a drug we were given during he first year accident really affected Ochako and I's quirks.
- Ah, I see...

He smiled.

- Let's go back to the others, shall we?
- Yeah!

We made our way outside the door. Everyone was waiting here.

- I have to say something... started Midnight.

She took a deep breath.

- Welcome back, Midoriya and Uraraka!
