[Izuku's POV]

For the last two days, everything had been pretty much... chaotic.

Ochako and I were filling paperwork all the time, U.A paperwork, citizens identitied paperwork and most importantly, hero paperwork.

Eijirou, Mina and Tenya had been really encouraging us to apply for a hero license renewal.

But it the end, it was only a simple two months training in order to learn what we learned in three years at U.A.

Everyone was encouraging us so much and so, we applied and the classes start in a few days.

But for the last two days, one thing in particular had been on my mind.

My mom.

...

Flashback of yesterday

- Hey... Toshi.

He raised his head when I had called him.

- Yes Midoriya?
- Do you know what happened to my mom... during all those years.

His eyes dropped and he looked at the floor.

- Yes. She has been living with me for the past 20 years.
- So she's doing well?!

He smiled warmly.

- Yes, of course. But things weren't that good during all those years...

Again, shame overcame my entire body.

- I'm so sorry... I mumbled.
- No, no, it's not your fault, don't say sorry.

I looked at him straight in the eyes.

- Of course it is. She was the one who had a bad time because of me.

I stood up confidently.

- I'll go visit her, tomorrow.

Flashback ended

...

Today, I promised to visit her.

I sighed and rubbed my forehead.

- Are you okay Izuku? So you feel feverish? asked Ochako with worried eyes.

I smiled.

- I'm perfectly fine, I said as I stood up.

I stretched and headed towards the bedroom to get dressed.

- You're going to go see your mom? asked Ochako, standing in the doorway.

I jumped in fear.

- God! You scared me, I said.

She giggled and approached me.

- Why are you so nervous, huh? It's your mom, I bet she'll be so happy to see you again.

I looked away as she tied my tie around my neck.

- I know... I just-

I took a deep breath.

- I just feel bad.

She looked at me with pity.

- I understand, I felt that way too when I visited my parents... but it turned out to be fine.

She smiled as she finished my tie.

- I'll be with you along the whole way.

She gave me a small kiss on the cheek.
