Ghost town

chapter nineteen: first date.

Yvonne Meyers walked home with her hands curled into Steven Tarintion's warm ones. She felt like she was at the gateway of heavan. She just wanted that peaceful moment to last forever as the sun slowly dipped behind the clouds and the wind stood still around them. When they reached the front of her house , Yvie entered the pathway to her frontdoor.

Steven however, pulled her back. She looked at with an inquiring look forming on her face. He smiled at her. He looked nervous and it took him a while to speak up. "Umm. I was wondering if you wanted to go on a picnic with me this Sunday. Just you and me. Are you game?" he looked so scared that Yvie was on the brink of laughing.

She smiled at him and asked , "As in a date?" causing Steven blush and nod his head in agreemend. Yvie smiled widely as she nodded her head. Steven slightly lost his mind as he picked her up and spun her around.

Yvie's laugh floated up in the air. The stars locked up the giggles of pure happines to brighten up the skies that night.

When the sun woke up on the Sunday of Yvie and Steven's date , it smiled broadly. Yvie was quite anxious that morning. She had been waiting for this moment for quite some time, but she never expected it to happen.

She looked in the mirror and laughed a little. She was actually going on a date with Steven. She straighted out the dress she was wearing. It was a baby blue ankle length dress. She paid it with a white jersy and white tennis shoes. She put her hair in a light plait. She giggled as she ran to get her bag and shoved her keys and phone into it.

She heard a knock on her front door and ran to open it. She swung it open with such a force that Steven was in slight shock. Yvie laughed at his reaction, causing Steven to laugh. They both ended up on the floor by her front door, laughing like wild hyhena's.

When they both finsihed laughing, Steven got up and pulled Yvie up. She dusted herself off and ran inside to get her bag.

The day weared out beautifully. They walked to park and set up their picnic in a secluded area in the park. They spent the day just staring at each other and laughing. They just appreciated each others presence and synergy. The day was perfect and their love for each bloomed with each smile they send each others way.

If someone had told Yvonne she would feel this happy one day, she would thought they were mad. Now, that was all she wanted to feel. It consumed her and encaptured all her senses. She loved every moment and craved it , like a drug.

She was falling in love and she would be damned if anyone tried to break her fall.
