Yvonne Meyers looked out the window as the thunderous clouds loomed above the library. The saturated clouds were mixing with the non-saturated clouds , forming a tragic symphony.

Yvie hated days like this. It always reminded her of her brother. He always loved sunny days that turned thunderous. He used to sit on the roof of their house and just stare at the sky. He always said it was melodic. Yvie never really understood what he meant by that, as a matter of fact, she was still clueless as to why he called it "melodic".

It was eight PM and Yvie just wanted to go home. Steven Tarintino was meant to pick Yvie up that evening for dinner. Yvie was currently thinking of a way to get out of the dinner. She did not feel like being around anyone, not even Steven.

Matthew Williamsons sudden appearance gave her fright. She had forgotten he was in the library with her. He laughed lightly at her fright, but sobered up when he saw she was not laughing too.

"Sorry about that. I did mean to scare you. It was not done purposely." Matthew sincerely.

Yvie smiled at Matthew and replied, " I know. Sorry about my reaction. My head is just not here. I am sorry if my attitude sucks. I think it is the added pressure of looking after this library. I mean I love this job, but it is harder with Ms. Lila sick. She just means a lot to me. To see her sick is torture. However, I am glad that Ms. Lila is recovering. Oh , I feel bad for dumping all this on you. I feel like a nuisance. You are just as busy as me. I know that you are just as stressed as me. I feel like such a  selfish brat for telling you all this and expecting you to not complain."

Her reply only caused Matthew to smile and say, " It is fine. I understand the pressure is getting to you. If you do not mind, but I feel like something else is bothering you , too."

Yvie looked to ground and tried her best to not let the tears slip that were forming in her eyes. She tried to swallow down her tears and keep her composture from crumbling. However, it was all too much for her and she fell to the ground crying.

She cried until she was sure all the tears had left her soul and then she cried some more. She was grateful for Matthews distance. He did not console her nor did he comfort her. He allowed her to just be. She was grateful for it.

When she finally calmed down and her tears where gone, she looked up and saw Matthew sitting infront of her in the floor. He too looked like he had shed some tears.

Yvie was the first to break the silence. She cleared her throat and stated, "My brother loved this kind of weather. He said it was "melodic". He used to sit up on our roof and stare at the sky. He hated sunny days,  he loathed rainy days, but days like this he adored. He was a true artist you know. He had gnat gift of turning anythng into a work of art. He would paint and sculpt days like this. It would lay all across our house. I think that should have been the first sign that indicated something was wrong with Derek. He would spend hours just drawing or sculpting the same scene, over and over again. He would spend his days locked in his room making these art pieces. The first few months after he left , I kept on blaming myself and my parents for not being more attentive. Then after a few years , I just realised that there was nothing that either of us could have done." She broke down once again. This time she recovered quicker and continued. " I was the one who found him. He was laying on the floor of his bedroom, wrists slahed and blood drained, soaked in the blood that surrounded him. The red , sticky blood that soiled the floor rug. The smell of rot and blood that filled up my nostrils. I could taste the copper, rubbery blood of my brother sliding down my throat. I screamed that day. I screamed and I cried. I have never been  the same ever since that day."

This time when she broke down, Matthew held her and comforted her. He seemed to understand her pain. He seemed to want to make her feel better.

Their moment was abruptly interrupted when someone cleared their throat. They both teared a part from one another. It was Steven. When he saw Yvie's tear stained face,  he immediately was polarised towards her.

He hugged and poured so much love into his touch that it nearly broke Yvie. It took all of Yvie's effort to push Steven Tarintino away.

Steven looked startled. Yvie tried her best to calm down her raging heart, she looked him dead in the eyes and said , "Steven,  we need to talk."
