Yvonne Meyers looked up at the sun nestling between the clouds on a fine Wednesday afternoon.
She was in a happier and less stressful state mind. There was many reasons for her change in attitude. One being that Ms. Lila had fully recovered. Ms. Lila and Ms. Pricilla were back at work and Yvie's life was so much tranquil. Ms. Lila's sickness really scared Yvie, for at some point she thought she might loose the dear woman who had become a mother for her.
Another reason for her new found inner-peace was the knew thing that she fought the hardest to find. Contentment. For a long time she thought that she had to figure herself out. That her life was meaningless if she had no plan of action. That she was not living her life if she was on adventures and doing crazy things. However, Yvie had come to realise, that she did not need any of those elements in her life.
She did not need to know where she was going, she found that life would lead her to her destiny eventually.
She took a deep breath in and snapped out her daze to continue her work.
"Oh, dear Yvonne, I cannot believe that in two weeks you will be going home forever. I will miss you dearly." Ms. Lila said as she hugged Yvie. Yvie's heart was touched by Ms. Lila's sweet words.
"Ms. Lila , I will most definetly come when I have holidays. We can also have video calls regularly." Yvie replied.
"I know, but I will still miss your energy, beauty and undeniable presence." Ms. Lila said as she uncoiled herself from Yvie's frame.
When Yvie looked into Ms. Lila's eyes, she that it was sparkling with tears. That image made Yvie break down. She hugged Ms. Lila and together their tears healed their past wounds.

Later that day Yvie decided to go for a stroll along the beachfront. Her feet sinking in the sand , whilst the waves washed over her feet, made her feel so peaceful.
She was in such a good mental state of mind. It was strange, yet exciting for Yvie. For, a lot of her life was spent in anxiety. She had spent her childhood and teenage years controlling her emotions. Then , when she came to the ghost town, she tried her best to show every emotion she could. Yet, she was still not her true self.
It took her eleven months to realise that it was okay to be herself. That there was nothing wrong with holding back emotions. It did not make her less of a human being because she guarded her heart so strong. It was what made her human.
She also realised that it was okay to wear her heart on her sleeves. It did not make her weak or pathetic. Crying was beautiful and romantic. Love was an amazing feeling and opening up to someone was ethereal. It was okay to allow herself to break down and be free.
She learnt that not everything was as it seems. That all things have to come to an end. That struggle and strife was what made one human.
She learnt to love herself. Every part of herself. The good, the bad and the ugly. She learnt that sometimes she looked into the mirror and saw a beautiful evervescent light before. Other times she saw a mirror cracked and divide and her soul was sliced and quartered. However, she learnt that all of those wildy different images of herself was what made her Yvonne Meyers.
As she looked at the sun set before her , she let the tears roll down her cheeks. They were tears of joy and sadness. Joy, for she had finally peace within herself, but sadness for she had to leave the ghost town.
She did not tweleve months back, that the ghost town would make its way into her tiny heart, yet, there she was , preparing herself for a separation that she knew would break her.

Song credited to original creators, Marina- Orange trees. A quick rant, please check out Marina's ( previously called Marina and the Diamonds) album Love+Fear. Such a good album. She totally snapped ( and in a good way). She changed her image up ( like she does in every era) but this time it was so different. She came with so much positivity and happiness. She took accountability for her past actions and realised that she was also partly to blame for her sadness. Just a masterpiece and a true gem of 2019. It was a fresh sound, and a more slow paced alum than her previous works. If you have never heard of her or heard her music , I urge you to do so. She literally shaped the early 2010s when her electra heart album came out and is the OG "E girl" and you can fight me about it ,jk.
Anyways, much love and light.
xoxo,
M.
