Just so everyone knows, Y/n= an abbreviated version of your name while N/n= your nickname and Y/f/n= your full name.
Y/n
Ding! Ding! Ding!
"Shut the hell up," I groaned, rolling over and smacking what I assumed to be my alarm clock. Turned out it was my brother's face.
"Ouch! Seriously, N/n?" Avian whined, rubbing his cheek. I rolled my e/c eyes and climbed out of bed.
"Don't try to be an alarm clock then," I pointed out, opening my closet. Avian and I had just moved to Lakeworth Florida. And let me tell you, it is hot and humid here. "Out, I need to get dressed."
Avian left and I grabbed khaki mid thigh shorts and a/an f/c colored top. Quickly pulling my h/c hair back, I slid my sneakers on and picked up my canvas backpack.
"See you, Av," I called, walking out the door.
"Wait!" my brother shouted. I could hear him running after me. "You didn't have breakfast."
"Yeah, I did. I had pancakes," I argued, confusion clouding my face.
"No, you didn't. That was probably just a dream, Y/n," he objected. I shrugged.
"Eh, whatever. I'm always in the mood for food anyways," I followed Avian into the house and ate my cereal rapidly. It gets disgusting when the cereal is soggy.
"Bye, N/n," Avian gave me a bear hug before I left. I smiled and hurried out the door.
"Bye!"

Justin
Okay, first day back. Don't screw this up, Justin, okay, I worried. As Park Vista High came into view, I chewed on my lip, growing nervous.
"Hey, Justin," Andrew shouted across the hall. "Thought I wouldn't see you again." I smiled, embarrassed.
"Heh, same. Anything new?" I asked.
"Yeah-"
Andrew was cut off by a girl screaming, "Watch out!" She came hurtling towards us at full speed. We both hopped out of the way and she slammed into the lockers.
"Holy shiz, are you okay?" I exclaimed, holding a hand out for the girl. Damn, she was pretty.
"Yup, just leaving my mark on the school," she said cheerfully. I felt a burn on the top of my hand. The girl winced and put a hand on her neck while I covered mine.
"Um, I'm Justin," I introduced myself. After a bit, the pain died down.
"Y/n. Well, it's actually Y/f/n, but most call me Y/n," she said in a breath. Damn, she could talk fast.
"Uh, are you new here?"
"Mhm, just transferred here." My eyes narrowed in suspicion. I backed away from Y/n like she was a wild animal or something.
"Andrew, nice to meet you. Sorry about Justin," Andrew joined the conversation and shot me a glare. Her e/c eyes flicked to Drew and she smiled.
"Y/n, nice to meet you too," Y/n waved.
"Well, I have to go, see you around, I guess," I rushed to say, turning and heading down another hallway.
Once I knew I was alone, I studied my hand. Ever since I was a baby, I had these words engraved on my hand: Every Time, Any Time, Just in Time. I was told that once they turned gold, you had found your soulmate. But the system wasn't fool proof. And I knew that from experience. The words had glowed when I first met Naomi. See how that turned out.
I sighed and slumped against the lockers. The bell rang and I walked to my first class, algebra. There was only one seat left. Next to the transfer. Mentally groaning, I started to make my way over there. But then Andrew sat next to her and I sat beside another friend, Derek.
"Damn, she's pretty smart," Derek muttered, gesturing to Y/n who was solving the equation. I watched in awe and suspicion.
"Yeah," I agreed. Still, I couldn't be too sure about her. For all I know, she could be another Naomi.

"Dude, chill! Give her a chance, she's probably not another Naomi. C'mon, Justin," Andrew begged during lunch. I sighed and slouched.
"How about you invite her to the party," Tevin suggested. I looked at him like he was insane.
"It's not even my party!" I argued, not wanting to be around her. Derek shrugged.
"You're technically one of the hosts," Andrew pointed out. I groaned.
"Why do I have to be the one to ask her," I complained. All three glared at me. "Fine, I'll do it."
"Ask her today, bro," Derek decided, a smile lighting up his face. I sighed.
"Mkay," I hummed.

"Hey, Y/n," I called her name in the packed hall. Most of the day had been spent avoiding her. And now I had to confront her. She turned to face me, h/l h/c hair falling in front of her eyes. Y/n blew the hair back. Since that didn't work, she blew more violently.
"Hi, Justin," she said, still blowing at her hair. To be honest, the sight of her blowing her hair like that was hilarious. And cute.
"Need help?" I teased, leaning over her. Y/n laughed and nodded. I gently moved her hair back. It was so freaking soft.
"Thanks," she beamed at me. I couldn't help but smile back.
"Um, my friends and I are having a party tomorrow. Do you want to come?" I asked nervously.
"Oh, sure! Thanks for the invite, Justin. Where's it at?" Y/n cheered happily.
"Tevin's house is really close to the beach, so we're having it there. And it's at 5."
"No alcohol, drugs, or smoking, right?"
"I don't think there'll be."
"Okay. See you tomorrow, Justin!" Y/n smiled and ran off. My face was hot.
"Ah, little Justin is blushing," Andrew's voice came out of nowhere.
"Our little Justin is crushing," Derek chimed in.
"No, I'm not!"
