Andrew
Y/n had been distant. She didn't talk as much, and when one of us said something to her, she jumped. Y/n no longer sat with us at lunch. She wouldn't flaunt in a humble way how smart she was. I was worried. We all were worried. Even Justin was worried. I knew it. He tried to hide the fact by hanging out with his girlfriend, Ella, but he cares. We all care.

Y/n
I had depression.
There was no doubt about it. But nobody noticed besides my brother and friends. That was fine. I didn't want to bother anyone with my pathetic life problems.
Ella was hard to hate. The girl was so incredibly sweet, kind, and just.... ugh. I can't hate her. I can't hate Justin either.
Every time he smiled, I fell apart. Any time he talked, his intelligence shown through. I love him still.
"Yo, N/n, you okay?" Andrew's arm wrapped around my shoulders. I jumped slightly and nodded, putting a big fake grin on.
"Great, better than great even," I lied. Hopefully he didn't know. Andrew shrugged.
"Okay, just so you know, you can sit with us," he reminded me. I nodded.
"Yeah, bye, Drew. Got to get to class," I speed walked down the hall, ignoring him calling my name. Last class of the day, Y/n. Yoh can do this, I told myself.
  I couldn't.
"Miss, would you like to see the school counselor," Miss Cindy, the nurse, offered.
"Can I go home please," I asked quietly. She sighed but nodded anyways. " Bye." I left the school quickly, walking home.
As I lay in bed, my eyes focused on the glowing stars on my ceiling. I sighed, running a hand through my h/l hair.
"Oh, N/n! I have a surprise for you!" I heard Avian yell. I smiled softly to myself, walking downstairs. My brother was holding something in his arms. And that thing was a pug.
"OH MY GOSH!" I squealed excitedly. I took the puppy in my arms and nuzzled my face against its soft skin. Avian chuckled and sat next to me on the couch as I cooed at the pug.
"Her name is Lucy and she's two months old," Avian gave me some backstory.
"Av, thank you so much!" I exclaimed, petting Lucy. Avian hugged me and smiled.
"No problem. I noticed you've been... struggling-"
"Avian, I know it. Just say it. I'm depressed," I cut him off. He sighed and nodded.
"Dogs, animals in general, can help people. Petting can relieve stress," he explained. I considered what he said. That was interesting.
"Thank you."
That night, Lucy jumped onto my bed. She curled up next to me, big brown eyes guarding me. I patted her head and she let out this weird noise, like she was trying to purr. I giggled.
"You silly dog."

Time to have a real talk. If you have depression, please talk to me. I am here for you. I will accept you for who you are, I promise. I am going through the same things to. I am depressed. I know how you feel, I won't treat you like a person who doesn't have depression. Depression is a serious thing. Don't take it lightly. I really do love you all, it doesn't matter that I don't know you. I love you.
