Y/n
At home, I look in the mirror. Since I was a baby, these words had been written on my neck: Every Time, Any Time, Just in Time. I was told that they would color gold when I had found my soulmate. Didn't know it hurt though.
  Now my tattoo was gold.

"Avian, I'm heading to a friend's house after school. I'll be back later," I yelled.
"Okay, no smoking or drinking though!" he screamed at me. I rolled my eyes.
"I know!"
I hurried to school. For the party, I had decided on my mint mid thigh shorts and a black tank. Nothing particularly fancy. Arriving at the school, I spotted Justin, Andrew, Derek, and Tevin.
"Hey, guys," I greeted, jogging up to them. Justin stared into the distance.
"Hi, Y/n," the other boys said in a friendly manner.
"Hi, Justin," I said, waving a hand in front of his face. " Are you okay?"
He didn't respond. Andrew glared at him and shoved Justin lightly.
"Ow, Andrew," he rubbed his arm. " Hi, Y/n." And then he walked away.
And then he waddled away! And then he waddled away! And then the very next day bum bum bum! Does anyone understand this?
"Sorry, Y/n. He's just in a mood," Andrew apologized. I shrugged and offered them a smile.
"That's okay, everybody has bad days," I said.

Andrew      (bet you weren't expecting that)
Damn, Y/n was so nice. Justin should give her a chance.
"I'm going to talk to Justin," I decided, following my freckled friend.
"No, no, no! Andrew, you really don't have to do that!" Y/n exclaimed.
"I want to," I said and disappeared into the crowd. I could still hear Y/n's protests. She really was nice.
"Justin," I growled, planting a hand on his shoulder. He turned around, short curly hair hitting my face.
"Yes," he raised a brow. " Here to scold me bout Y/n?"
"Duh. Justin, she's really nice, she even begged me to not come and lecture you," I said. Justin rolled his eyes.
"Whatever."
"At least try to be nice to her, okay?" I ordered.
"Fine."

Justin
Y/n walked with us to Tevin's house so we could set up. Mostly, we had planned on hanging out on the beach.
I stepped into the bathroom and changed into my swim trunks. When I came out, I found Y/n sitting on the floor. She glanced up and her face turned red.
"Sweet honey iced tea, you're hot," she mumbled. I laughed and knelt in front of her.
"I knew I was good looking, but not 'sweet honey iced tea' hot," I teased. Y/n looked alarmed and her face was scarlet.
"You heard that?! Shoot, sorry I-" I chuckled and pushed her into the bathroom. Y/n came out in a two piece f/c swim suit. As soon as my eyes landed on her, I was the one blushing.
"You're 'sweet honey iced tea' hot too," I joked. But I was sincere. Y/n blushed and covered her face, racing downstairs. Her h/c hair was pulled to the side and I could make out words written in gold. She must've found her soulmate.
Not many people came, but enough that it felt like an actual party. I noticed Y/n sitting to the side on a blanket. Bringing a can of soda with me, I handed it to her and sat down beside Y/n.
"Why aren't you out partying?" I asked in a teasing manner. Y/n smiled at me nervously.
"I'm not really a party person," she admitted. I shrugged.
"Same here," I mumbled. We lay back and watched the stars. Soon enough, soft snores came from Y/n.
I turned over and was finally able to get a good look at her tattoo. It was gold. And the words made me pale. Every Time, Any Time, Just in Time.
