"No," I snapped, yanking Ella back. The girl had be walking towards Y/n and Justin. "We don't talk to them."
"But... Justin is my boyfriend and Y/n is my best friend," she explained in a confuzzled manner. I rolled my eyes.
"Well, you're going to have to break off your relationship and friendship," I said, crossing my arms. Ella frowned.
"But-"
"It's us or them, Ella," I threatened.
"Besides, you would go back to being the haggish creature you were. And you'd be bullied," Bryden added.
"Fine, I won't talk to them," Ella sighed, following us to the cafeteria.

Y/n
I knew what I wanted to draw.
Even though I seemed happy, it was just an act. A clever one. Nobody knew how I truly felt. And I would keep it that way.
"Hey, Ella," I waved at my desk partner. It had been two weeks and she hadn't said a thing to Justin or me.
Ella stared out the window, not even acknowledging my presence. I frowned and seated myself.

Walking home, I enjoyed the nice weather. It was nearing the end of October, which meant Halloween. I had no idea what I was going to wear. As soon as I stepped into the house, I received a phone call from one Justin Laboy.
"I'll be over as quick as I can," I rushed out the door, sprinting to his house.
My hand pounded on the door. I was doubled over, panting and trying to catch my breath.
"How are you feeling," I hugged Justin as his favorite movie finished. Ella had broken up with him.
"I... I think I'm just shocked, to be honest," he admitted, cuddling against me. I nodded and ran my fingers through his hair.
"It's going to be alright," I assured him, squeezing his hand. "How about this: we go and chill at the beach."
"Alright," he shrugged. We climbed into his car and Justin drove to the beach.
Justin and I played in the water together. We splashed each other with water, built a sand castle (which died), and observed the tide pools. Now is your chance, my brain told me. Justin is free.
But I shook my head. He had just gone through a break up. I wouldn't ask him a question like that so soon.
"Bye, Justin," I pecked his cheek before exiting the car. He waved before driving off.
I dragged my body to my bed and hid under the covers. Sleep captured me as soon as my head hit the pillow.
