Chapter 5

Jake, Colby, and I started heading back up towards the house when I notice a shed to the left of the house.

"You guys want to go check out that shed over there?" I ask them.

"I have to go pee really bad." Says Jake. He starts running inside the house.

"Okay umm Colby, want to check out that shed over there?" I ask again.

"Sure." He says. We walk up the porch and then to the left. As I turn around the side of the house, I see the shed, as well as what looks like a hot tub.

"Oh my gosh yes." I hear Colby say behind me. I look at him. "I love hot tubs so much." He says.

We take the cover off and feel the water.

"Oohh." We both say smiling.

"May have to test this out later." I say.

"Yes we may." Colby says behind me once again.

Hearing him say that sends shivers down my spine but in a good way.

I shake it off and start walking over to the shed. I open it up and inside is a couple surfboards, a boogie board, some goggles and flippers, and some folding chairs.

"Oh this is cool." I say.

"Ooh a surfboard!" He says.

"You surf?" I ask.

"Eh a little." He says.

"I've never surfed before." I lie.

"Really?" He asks.

"Yup. Never got on one." I lie again.

Truth is, I absolutely love surfing. And I'm actually pretty good at it. But he doesn't need to know that, till the time comes to use them.

"Well maybe I can teach you." He says. His voice became low and I can tell he might've leaned in behind me when he said that. The shivers came back. I spun around and found him literally within inches of me, looking down at me.

"Yeah." I say as I become lost in his icy blue eyes.

I watch his eyes move from mine down to my lips as he leans in. Our lips meet and it's instant electricity.

He puts his hand on my hip and I put mine on his face. Oh my gosh his soft face.

The kiss starts to become more aggressive as he starts sliding his hand up along my torso, I realize I'm still in my bathing suit and he has no shirt on.

I start to run my fingers through his hair. He uses his other hand to hold the small of my back.

All of a sudden, he puts both hands under my thighs and lifts me up so my legs are wrapped around his body.

Just before our kiss is broken, I feel his tongue quickly on mine and the shivers come back once again.

"Colby? Kendall?" I hear Jake calling from the back porch. My eyes widen and so do Colby's, he puts me down and we situate ourselves to make ourselves seem as normal as possible.

Jake comes walking from around the porch.

"Look Jake a hot tub!" Colby Says with his hands on his hips.

"Oh awesome!" He says.

We all kind of stand there awkwardly without saying anything for a minute.

"Umm find anything interesting in the shed?" Jake asks trying to break the silence.

"Oh yeah some surfboards, chairs, goggles and stuff." I reply.

"Cool!" He says.

"Guys?" We hear a voice from inside call.

"Oh they must be back from the grocery store." Says Jake. He starts walking towards the back door again and we slowly follow behind him.

I look back at Colby and he's smirking and running his fingers through his hair.

I smile and follow Jake inside.

"Hey!" Says Sam. "Did you guys go for a swim?"

"Yeah, something like that." I say.

"What do you mean?" Adriana asks.

"Colby threw me in and Jake just stood there laughing." I reply.

They start laughing and I look back at Colby laughing.

"It was pretty funny." He says.

"Oh gosh." I shake my head and smile.

"Anyway, what'd you guys get?" Asks Colby.

"We got some stuff to barbecue, some snacks, some drinks, some games, and just some odds and ends." Sam says.

"Sounds good!" I say.

"Kendall I might've said this earlier but your bathing looks so good on you." Says Adriana.

"Yeah it really does." Colby whispers in my ear as he walks over to help unload groceries.

I can feel my eyes slightly roll back in my head as my whole entire body shivers this time.

"Thanks." I reply.
