"I can't believe I agreed to this." I mumble as we make our way closer to the creepiest hotel I've ever seen.

"I can't believe you did either." Corey says. "Actually, I can't believe I agreed to this."

"Corey you really didn't have a choice." Jake chuckles. "Sam practically just told you you're going."

"Geez thanks Sam." Corey groans. Sam just laughs.

We walk inside to the lobby. The ceilings are extremely high, the lights are dim, and there's only a few people here and there.

"This is creepy." Jake holds on to my arm.

We follow Sam and Colby to the front desk.

They begin to check in and I can't help but notice the continuous chills I've had since I walked in.

"Have there been any cases of hauntings here?" Sam asks the lady at the desk.

"There have been a few," She says. "I haven't seen anything myself but guests come to me with stories."

"What kind of stories?" Colby asks.

"Doors opening and closing, footsteps, faucet turning on. But the one that scares the most, is seeing someone with you in the reflection of a mirror." She says.

I look at Jake, who's still gripping to my arm.

"Oh great!" Corey throws his hands in the air and starts walking away.

I watch Sam and Colby exchange mischievous looks.

"Here's your room key." She hands it to Sam. "Enjoy your stay."

We walk away from the desk, Jake still holding on to my arm, and head to our room.

As we make our way to the elevator, the music in the lobby becomes an eery tune that makes me very uncomfortable.

We all squeeze inside the elevator and go up.

"Did you guys hear the music before we came in here?" Sam pipes up.

"Bro I was literally thinking the same thing." I grin at Sam.

When the elevator arrives at our floor, the elevator itself stops, but the doors don't open.

"Okay, umm, why aren't the doors opening?" Corey whines.

"Wait yeah why aren't they opening?" Colby tries pressing the button that opens and closes the door but it doesn't work.

"Guys." Jake whines as well.

Finally the doors open and we all take a deep breath.

"Great start to the night." Corey mumbles.

We all follow Sam to our room. He stops in front of a door and I frown.

"Don't tell me this is our room." I say.

"It is, why?" Sam points his camera at me and everyone else looks at me.

I point at the room number, 13.

"Oh fuck that." Corey backs up away from the door.

"13 isn't an unlucky number it's just a superstition." Sam says.

"I don't care," Jake says, "We're staying in a haunted hotel in an unlucky room."

"We're practically walking into the trap." I roll my eyes.

"Guys, nothing will happen to us." Colby says.

"Promise?" I squint my eyes at him and he looks away.

"Oh my gosh you can't even pro-"

"Can we just go inside jesus." Sam interrupts Corey and unlocks the door.

We walk inside and it's huge.

"Holy shit." Sam and Colby say at the same time.

"This is like a house." Jake says. He finally unlatched himself from my arm and walks ahead of me.

The hallway from the door leads into a living room. From the living room is the kitchen and a dining area.

On the other side of the living room is a hallway that leads to all the bedrooms.

"How many bedrooms are there??" Corey runs into a room and jumps on a bed.

The boys go into the room with Corey. I begin to follow them but stop when I hear a weird noise coming from the kitchen.

"Kendall?" I jump in my place and grasp my chest.

"Holy shit you scared me." I turn to Jake who had called me name.

"You good though?" He asks.

"Umm." I look back behind me where I heard the noise. "Yeah I'm fine."

"There are only three bedrooms." Sam says.

"Only?" I laugh even though I know what he means by that.

"Are we even going to be sleeping anyways?" Jake points out.

"Honestly probably not, we never sleep during any of these things." Colby says.

"I don't think I'd be able to if I tried." I grin.

"Well, just in case, we should figure out room situations." Sam says.

"Well I'm NOT sleeping alone." Corey says, "even if I have to share a bed with one of y'all."

"I don't think anyone wants to sleep alone." I cross my arms and everyone nods their heads.

As Sam begins talking again, I hear the noise again, this time sounding like it came from the kitchen. I turn my head to look again but don't see anything.

"Are you cool with that Kendall?" I snap my head towards Sam.

"I'm sorry what did you say?"

They all look at me with worried expressions.

"Umm, I said are you cool with sharing a bed with Jake." Sam continues.

"Oh yeah for sure." I smile weakly.

"Yay!" Jake squeezes me tight, making me smile more genuinely.

I look up at Colby, who's already looking at me. I can't tell if he's upset or angry, either way I'm not liking it.

"We should probably do some research." Sam says. He grabs his laptop and we follow him into the dining room, which means we have to go through the kitchen.

"What the fuck." I hear Corey say from ahead as he walks into the kitchen. "Did somebody do this? No fucking around, I'm not playing."

I finally get into the kitchen and my heart drops. Every single cabinet was wide open.

"Holy shit." Colby mumbles.

"No one did this right? Swear?" Sam puts his camera down and looks at everyone.

No. No one, human, did this.

This is going to be one eventful night.
