"So where are we going?" I turn my head towards Colby, sitting in the drivers seat of his red corolla.

"Just somewhere." He looks at me and his blue eyes twinkle.

"I know that look." I reply, turning my head back towards the road.

"What look?" He asks.

"You have a plan." I say smiling.

"Maybe I do." He says with a smirk.

"I would like to be in on the plan." I reply.

"I don't want you to know yet." He says. "Besides, we're almost there."

"Okayy fine." I roll my eyes and nudge him playfully.

"Let's listen to music." He says. He connects his phone to the bluetooth and begins playing 'What Once Was' by Her's.

"I love this song." I close my eyes and put my arm out the window, letting the wind push my hand back.

I let my head roll around to face Colby. He uses his free hand from the wheel to fix the sides of his hair.

"What are you looking at?" He asks, not even looking at me.

"What do you think I'm looking at?"

He looks at me and rolls his eyes.

I look ahead and notice Colby taking this suspicious turn onto a dirt road.

"This is how every horror movie starts you know?" I say sarcastically.

Colby chuckles before we arrive to a tall broken down building.

"Whoa." I look up at the building, hoping it doesn't suddenly topple on top of us.

"Crazy huh?" Colby says, looking up as well after he parks the car. We both get out, the sun settling on my skin is hot.

"What was this?" I ask.

"Just an office building I think." Colby says, meeting me on my side of the car. "C'mon."

He grabs my hand and we walk towards the double doors. Well, almost double doors. One of them was missing and instead there was just some boards to only partially keep things from the outside... outside.

Colby squeezes through a gap in the boards and then motions me to follow him. I do so and when I'm on the other side, a draft instantly sends chills up my spine. The temperature in the building was so much colder than outside and it was unnerving.

"It's creepy in here." I say, but can't help but smile at how cool it was in here.

"Not scared are you?" Colby mocks and smirks at me, waiting for a snark reply.

"You wish I was scared." I nudge him playfully.

The room is dim so it was hard to see what was around us. I could make out some rows of chairs and a desk, probably was some sort of waiting room.

There are papers and all kinds of different debris all over the ground. Graffiti is marked on all walls, indicating we weren't the only ones trespassing.

"Kendall look." I spin around and face Colby, holding a piece of paper. I look down at it and notice it to be some sort of contract.

"Whoa, what is it for?" I ask.

"I think this building was some sort of insurance firm or something." He says, dropping the paper back on the ground.

We start walking again towards the desk against the back wall. An idea pops into my head and I make my way to the desk.

I stand behind it and pretend to type on a computer that would be sitting in front of me.

"Hi sir do you have an appointment?" I get Colbys attention and he smiles.

"Why yes I do." He says approaching the desk.

"Name for the appointment?" I pretend to lower a pair of glasses on my face to get a better look at him.

"Sam Golbach." He says and leans against the desk.

"I'm sorry I don't see that name on here." I fake frown. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

"Leave?" He puts his hand on his chest. "Certainly a beautiful woman like yourself wouldn't-"

Our own little word of pretend was interrupted by a loud crash.

"What was that?" I whisper and freeze in my spot.

"I don't know." Colby whispers back. "Sounded like it came from the other side of the wall behind you."

Just as we're about to see if we could look theres another loud crash and some footsteps.

"Colby." My heart starts racing and I slowly make my way to him. He holds his arm out to me and wraps it around my shoulder.

"We should go." He says. I nod my head and we turn to leave the building, without being heard by whatever is else here with us. The footsteps are heard again and this time, accompanied with a howl and scream. Indicating that there were more than one person.

"Holy shit." Colby says quietly and we slip through the boarded door. "C'mon lets go." We practically run to the car and get in.

"Please let's get out of here." I say, my eyes not leaving the door of the building. Part of me wants to see who it is in there, the other part of me never wants to know.

Just as Colby is backing up the car to turn around, I see a shadow in the window on a floor above.

"We were not alone in there." I finally take a deep breath as we drive away.

"I'm sorry." He says.

"Don't be, how were you supposed to know?" I put my hand on his shoulder. "Now I know why you do this kind of stuff in groups."

"Even then, it's dangerous." He says. "I shouldn't have put you in a situation like that."

"Colby." I say his name and he looks at me. "Stop."

His blue eyes shine in the sun and he smiles weakly.

"Just don't tell Jake, he'll kill you." I lightly pull on his ear and he laughs.
