"Patt, are you ready for your first day of preschool?" Percy asked, smiling brightly.
"Uh huh!" Patton giggled, "Virgil said he's gonna be there too!"
"That's great!" Percy laughed, "you have a friend right off the bat."
Patton giggled and nodded, "let's go! I wanna see Virgil!"
"What about my goodbye kiss?" Remy asked, coming down the stairs.
Patton giggled, running up hugging his father, "bye Papa!"
Remy smiled and kissed the top of his head, "bye Patt."
Percy kissed Remy lightly, "bye love, take it easy and-"
Remy chuckled, "I know Perce, I'm still healing, I shouldn't exert myself, I shouldn't re-open my scars. I'll be fine."
Percy smiled and shook his head, "okay, okay. See you in a few."
Percy followed Patton as the six year old ran out the door. He smiled as they got in the car, heading toward the school.
"Daddy! Look there's Virgil!" Patton pointed out the window at the darkly dressed boy.
Percy parked the car, "Why don't you go say hi? You might have the same class."
"Okay!" Patton jumped out, "bye Daddy! See you when you pick me up!"
Percy chuckled, "bye Patt."
Patton waved to his dad as he ran towards Virgil. The darkly dressed boy looked up, smiling when he realized who was running.
"Patton!" Virgil giggled.
"Virge!" Patton hugged the other tightly.
"What teacher do you have?" Virgil asked.
Patton giggled, "Mrs. Patton! She has my name!"
Virgil laughed, "That's funny! I have her too!"
The two boys giggled as they went to find their classroom. Patton couldn't wait to come back and play with Virge again.
