Remy gently rocked in a rocking chair, holding Patton to his chest. The tiny child had been released yesterday and he seemed to be settling in well at his home.

Patton gripped the collar of Remy's shirt, huffing slightly in his sleep. Remy rubbed the top of Patton's head.

"Hush little baby don't you cry," Remy sung quietly, "Papa's gonna sing you a lullaby.

"Hush, little baby, don't say a word.
Papa's going to buy you a mocking bird.

"And if that mocking bird don't sing,
Papa's going to buy you a diamond ring.

"And if that diamond ring is brass,
Papa's going to buy you a looking glass.

"And if that looking glass gets broke,
Papa's going to buy you a billy goat.

"And if that billy goat don't pull,
Papa's going to you a cart and bull.

"And if that cart and bull turn over,
Papa's going to buy a dog called Rover.

"And if that dog called Rover don't bark,
Papa's going to buy you a horse and cart.

"And if that horse and cart turn round,
You'll still be the sweetest little babe in town."

Patton yawned, snuggling into his little blue blanket. Remy smiled softly. This tiny child was so precious, so sweet. Remy would protect him with his life.

"I love you Patt," Remy whispered, "I'll never leave you."

Patton wrapped his hand around Remy's finger. The father laughed lightly and kissed the top of the child's head. Remy sighed softly. He would never, ever, let Patton get hurt.
