"Papa! I think I'm in love!" Patton flopped back on the couch, giggling.
"Is that so?" Remy laughed walking into the living room.
Percy walked in and gave Remy a kiss, "he hasn't stopped talking about this boy he met at school."
"His name is Logan! We have the same study hall!" Patton giggled, "and he's so cute! He plays clarinet and is in marching band! And his eyes! Oh my goodness! They're the deepest most prettiest blue ever!"
Remy chuckled and ruffled Patton's hair, "Okay, okay, tone down the gay and go work on your homework."
"No homework! First day remember!" Patton flipped around to lay on his stomach.
"Of course." Remy rolled his eyes, "syllabus?"
Patton jumped up, "Oh yeah!"
Patton dug in his bag and pulled out a few sheets of paper, handing them to Remy. Remy took them to the table and started signing them. Patton took his bag and started running up to his room.
"Hold on!" Remy called, "put these in your bag."
Patton nodded and grabbed the papers. He ran to his room and flopped down on his bed. Then he had a realisation.
The likelihood of Logan liking him back was slim to none.
Patton frowned, tears starting to fill his eyes. Besides, who would ever want to date him anyway?
Patton blinked at the intrusive thought.
Someone knocked on his door, "Patt hon, why don't you go take a shower and I'll heat up some dinner for you?"
Patton sat up, "Okay Papa."
"You okay Patton?" Remy asked.
"Yeah," Patton said, "practice is catching up to me."
Remy frowned, "okay. Love you."
"Love you too." Patton whispered.
The boy walked into his bathroom. He would be fine.
