he should have known.
she may have been hungry, but she learned her lesson. she was hungry no longer. she just wanted him.
he should have known that he had been enough, that he had done enough. he had done everything in his power for her, and he should have known it had been enough.
he should have trusted that she would follow. he should have trusted that she loved him just as much.
she called out to him and sang their song of love. he couldn't hear her but he should have known.
