things are so much better after high school.
i haven't been gone long, but it's given me such peace in such a short amount of time.
i no longer obsess over gaining approval from teachers or having certain people like me. no longer am i breaking my back so that others can stand a little straighter.
instead i get to breathe a little on my own and spend time with the people i choose. i may not make many friends, but i make good ones.
high school is just toxic for someone like me.
i know now that i never would have found a lasting love. i know now that i never would have maintained all of my friendships. i now know that high school made me into someone that i'm not.
no one could actually love me in an environment like high school because i could never love me in high school.
things are so much better after high school.
