Fighting Fears

Chapter 25

Bakugo's POV

THUD!

CRASH!

I shot straight upwards, blinking furiously in an attempt to adjust my eyes to the darkness, before flipping on the light switch. Winter was in her snow leopard form, snarling at something she was standing over. "Winter what the hell?! It's two in the morning!" I snapped. "Yeah, well, evil doesn't sleep." She spat, landing a hard blow on whatever she had pinned down. "Wha-" She changed back into her human form, revealing a masked intruder, who was clearly unconscious... or possibly dead. It was then I noticed my window was shattered. Winter whipped her head around, eyes narrowed, emotionless and cold, with her cat-like pupils barely more than slits. It kind of terrified me. "Go get the others. Tell them the fight's begun."

"EVERYONE GET YOUR ASSES OUT OF BED!" I screeched, kicking open every door, regardless of who was inside. This was the one time I would break down a girl's door. Eventually, everyone had stumbled downstairs into the living room. "Bakugo, what the actual hell are you waking us up for at TWO A.M.?!" Iida shouted, obviously pissed. "I DON'T KNOW, I WAS ASLEEP, WOKE UP, WINTER WAS STANDING THERE AND THEN PUNCHED THIS GUY IN THE HEAD AND SAID TO WAKE YOU ALL UP, TELL YOU THAT THE FIGHT'S BEGUN!" I retorted. "Wait someone broke in?" "Is she serious?" "It's time?" The group began to mutter anxiously.

CRACK!

THUNK!

"AGH!" Everyone jumped back as the ceiling collapsed. Winter stood there, shaking the dust from herself. I noticed there were a few dark splatters on her face. "Winter, what is going on?!" Iida decided to start yelling at her. "Take a guess." She snorted, shooting a rope-like beam of ice upwards. As it retracted, a body fell to the floor. "Oh my god Winter you MURDERED SOMEONE?!" Kaminari shouted. "Damn bastard. Thought he could sneak up on me from behind, act all pervy too." She grunted, kicking the limp form. There was a brief moment of silence. "So... uh... are we... supposed to fight?" Kirishima questioned. "Yes. I'm assuming the head villains are sending in their weakest pawns in first, in an attempt to distract us. We need to stay together and watch each other's backs. We don't know if they have a target, or who the target would be. Right now our job is to alert everyone on campus. I suggest covering more ground by dividing into three groups of seven. Everyone good with that?" Winter asked. The group nodded. "Good. Divide and let's go."

"GET THE FRICK UP WE GOTTA GO!" Winter screeched, kicking down each door. Our group's job was to wake up half the staff of UA, then get the rest of the student body together. Along with Winter and I, Todoroki, Midoriya, Kaminari, Jiro, and Ururaka were with us. The first teacher to greet us was, of course, All Might. "Young Winter, if you're pulling another prank like the one you did on the plane-" "Do I need to get the body?" She growled, turning to face him. Seeing the blood on Winter's face, All Might stopped. "Where is everyone else?" He asked. "Iida, Kirishima, Shoji, Tokoyami, Ashido, Sato and Sero are getting the rest of the staff up. Yaoyorozu, Mineta, Hagakure, Koda, Aoyama, Ojiro, and Asui should be on the intercom any moment now." Winter said. Before anyone could say anything, Winter violently obliterated another door. "GET YOUR ASS OUTTA BED LET'S GO LET'S GO!" She continued shouting. "WINTER WHAT THE HELL?!" Aizawa shouted back, stepping out of the room she had just broken into. Of course, my classmate just ignored him and continued smashing doors all the way down the hall. "All Might, why are you letting her speak like that?!" "WINTER MURDERED SOMEONE!" Kaminari screeched. "SHE WHAT?!" "THE WORLD IS GONNA END!" Discount Pikachu flailed his arms around until I whacked him on the back of the head. "OW!" "Young Winter has said it's time." All Might sighed. "Seriously?" Our other teacher looked at everyone in disbelief. "Yes. We have to get the plan into action before we lose the headstart." All Might nodded. "Okay, that's everyone. Get your things and prepare." Winter's eyes were still narrowed. "Winter, wait-" I cut myself off. "What is it, Bakugo?" She snarled, head tilted diagonally downwards a bit. "Your parents... they'll be there, right?" 

"Yeah." 

"Are you gonna be alright to fight?" I questioned, slightly worried about the arrogant bastard. Winter paused as all of our group and the pros we had just awoken stared at her expectantly. Suddenly, a devilish smirk appeared on her face. "I will make sure they regret everything they've done. And when I'm finished, I'll be the last thing they see. Their daughter that they brought into this world to follow in their footsteps, doing the very thing they traded in for being a villain. I'll be the hero. It's my turn to change the world."
