Lucas woke up to soft sounds, cushions under his head and his body feeling heavier than usual. A blanket was over top of him, the course material just barely itching the very tip of his nose. He pushed it down, getting the annoying thing away from him before he sneezed. The movement caught the attention of someone in the room. Alluring, deep green eyes looked down at him, framed by locks of layered black hair.
At first he thought he was dreaming. Could Ty even be able to make such a face? He quirked an eyebrow upwards in confusion. He felt so tired that it was hard to think straight. Maybe he was dreaming. The look on Ty's face was one of utter concern, a bit of relief and... was that tears in his eyes? No way.
Lucas coughed slightly and winced. His throat hurt immensely. For a moment, he wondered why, but then with a gasp he remembered exactly what had happened. The Vampire's eyes widened, his lips parting in a stunned and shocked expression. With the memory came the chilling words that Kivar had whispered to him right before he was lost to nothing but intense pain.
"Ty..."
"Hey," the boy breathed, his winning smile curving his lips, "Are you alright?"
Lucas nodded slowly, "Tired as all hell."
"You lost a lot of blood," the voice came from a different part of the room and he shifted just enough to see who it was. Ember was leaning on the edge of the couch, his arms crossed and his head atop them. He grinned at Lucas, his cute demeanor back again, replacing his rather... dangerous and crazed side.
"You should drink, Lucas," it was Nameia who spoke, he could tell by her voice. The way she talked in 'ordering' tones. The demi-God always meant well though, no matter what.
Slowly he nodded in agreement. That would definitely give him his strength back. Reaching up, he wrapped his arms around Ty's neck and brought him down. The boy didn't resist him, nor was he shocked at the sudden movement. Lucas sunk his teeth in the soft flesh slowly. The reaction was the same as when he'd bitten Ty the first time. Obviously the human hadn't gotten used to the feeling just yet.
The boy's hands clenched the couch tightly and it took him a moment to remember to breath. Even then, the air that pushed in and out of Ty's lungs was shortened as well as quicker than usual. Lucas took mouthful after mouthful of the sweet liquor. His eyes were lazily opened; just enough so that he could look down at the boys taunt shoulder and neck. When the grimoire burned his finger, biting his skin, he pulled away.
Taking a deep breath as he'd done nothing but drink yet again for a long period of time, he looked up at Ty's face. The human looked dazed and he couldn't help but grin at the rare expression. Hell, if that happened every time he bit the boy, perhaps he'd do it more often to throw him off his high horse.
"Enjoying this?" Ty asked, his own lips curving upwards as he recovered all too quickly.
Lucas frowned. A heavy lump formed at the back of his throat as he watched the boy. He glanced around to ascertain where he was. They were all in the council room that served as both his office and bedroom. Looked to the others that were in the room with him, he motioned to the door.
"Give us a moment, please."
Ty's eyes widened slightly and his grin grew wider. Lucas frowned at him, of course the boy would think that. Nameia nodded and reached out to take Dimiyen's hand. She led the girl from the room who gave Lucas a saddened look. He smiled at her as best he could. Ember waved as he exited and closed the door behind him. Ty, smirking wildly, leaned against the couch over Lucas' prone form.
The Vampire pulled himself up in a sitting position, pulling his legs underneath him. Ty watched him carefully, the arm that was up against the couch bent backwards to play with a lock of his black hair. Lucas stared down at his hands, his teeth clenched as the words from Kivar replayed in his head over and over. The ugly, deep threat clenched his heart tightly. "As commander of the demons, I can send your boyfriends little life saver back to hell."
After several minutes of sitting there, agonizing over the words, he looked up at Ty. His cheeks burned, eyes watered and he lunged forward. Both boys tumbled on the couch, the Vampire landing on top of the other. Ty was completely caught off guard as he lay underneath Lucas, his hands outwards in surprise.
"Wha-... Lucas?"
"Ty, I'm scared," he hiccupped lightly against the human's warm shoulder. He buried his face in between his neck and collarbone, squeezing his eyes shut tightly to combat the tears that threatened to over take him. He'd only felt terrified a few times like this, and he hated every second of it. It made him feel weak, and he was anything but that.
"About what?" the boys voice laughed lightly as he reached up and wrapped his arms around the Vampire's body, holding him tightly.
"Kivar. He can kill you," he answered, his voice strengthening a bit.
Ty laughed fully then. When he finished he pushed Lucas up so he could see his face. The green eyes were filled with amusement as he regarded his boyfriend. Lucas glowered at him in return. His damned ego was going to get him killed. Before he could snap out an angry retort, Ty pulled him down and kissed him.
Lucas grew frustrated, but as the other worked open his mouth, he felt it melting away. It was always so hard to stay mad at him for long. The Vampire returned the kiss, playing with the ring in his boyfriends tongue. Lucas slowed their kissing and a moment later, found himself being moved.
Ty took hold of him tightly and flipped them over, putting Lucas beneath him. The Vampire pulled away, startled.
"Not used to this hu?"
He blushed, "Shut up!"
Ty laughed and kissed him again.
