After getting Ty to go to class, Lucas left him and headed to the cafeteria. He was still in a daze from the make-out session they'd shared right before his boyfriend entered the class room. The Vampire's thoughts were solely on his lover, nothing else. It seemed that no matter what kind of crisis was happening, Ty could get him to think of better things no matter what. It was either a gift, or a curse, depending on the situation.
Either way, Lucas always ended up in a haze, up on the proverbial 'cloud nine'. It was like a high that he could never come down from. Not that he wanted to in the first place of course, he enjoyed the rush of emotions and the feeling of weightlessness every time. The Vampire allowed a brief smile to cross his face at the thoughts as he entered the empty cafeteria.
His intentions of being there were simple, get food for himself and for Ty when his boyfriend was done with class. There was no doubt the other boy would be starving by the time his class ended. Lucas was often amazed at how much the human could actually eat. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he was harboring a demon.
With a soft sigh, the Vampire picked up some food from the cafeteria and began his trek back to the council room. He still had tons of work to do as the class president, funny how it all piled up after being gone for a few years. Lucas' lips pulled into a frown. It wasn't that he hated his job duties, but they were menial tasks and very time consuming, of which he didn't have enough time for.
As he came turned left into the hall leading to the council room, a rush of energy pulsed through him and he stumbled forward. The food in his hands tumbled across the tiled floor as he fell forward onto hands and knees. His lungs burned for air as it had been ripped from him when the magic had hit. A hard cough helped to re-open his chest to breathe again.
Turning to look over his shoulder, eyes narrowed in anger, he caught sight of someone in black advancing on him very quickly. Lucas began to engage his grimoire, the ring burning around his finger, but the figure was faster. Too fast to be human. A kick to his temple sent him into the wall and Lucas crumpled to the floor unconscious.

He wished he could kill the drummer banging around in his head so that he could sleep more. However, no matter how hard he wished it to be, it never happened. Cracking open an eye, Lucas winced as the headache steadily increased. He could feel dried blood caked on the side of his head. Biting his tongue, he twisted his head around and reached to wipe the blood away.
A sharp chink above his head alerted him to the fact that he was immobilized. His heart skipped a beat as he pulled his head back and looked up to where his arms were tied down. The silver cuffs around his wrists caused him to grit his teeth and glower at the insufferable metal.
Damn it... as if this could get worse, he thought to himself angrily. Even though he knew it wouldn't do him any good, Lucas yanked on the chains with his full strength. Had they been anything other than silver, he would have ripped them apart in that single pull. Alas, though, they were not and he only succeeded in making a lot of noise. Which, to his utter dismay, got someone's attention.
"Awake now? That sure took a while. Perhaps Mithviya was a bit too excited to take you down."
Lucas growled at the voice as he shifted his gaze around as best he could to see who it was that spoke to him. The room he found himself in was rather cool, what he lay on felt hard and cold as well. It was most likely a stone slab acting as an altar of sorts. A couple of torches flickered on a few pillars some distance away, throwing shadows all around, but they weren't enough to illuminate the entire room.
"What the hell do you want now?"
"So impatient," the deep voice sighed, "Well, dear Lucas, it seems you've been snooping around lately. L'liya did her job well, but I knew that she wouldn't be able to keep silent when it came to you asking the questions. So I decided what better way to have you understand the situation than by showing you."
Footsteps filled the echoing silence that ensued after the man's voice faded away. Lucas turned towards the sound, his heart beating faster with each step his captor took. When his gaze settled on the looming figure of Kivar, his eyes narrowed and he bared his teeth with an angry growl.
"So intimidating when you're tied up and helpless. I see you've gained another grimoire, I wonder why. It certainly isn't because you're willing to see my side of the story is it? Not that it matters anyway. By the time I'm done with you, you'll be nothing but a demon's puppet."
"A demon's puppet? What the hell are you talking about, Kivar?"
"It's exactly as it sounds. You want to know about why we are called Stalkers, correct? The reason why us 'Vampires' are killing people when our very genetic makeup doesn't allow us to. It's simple Lucas Cahastile. To make a Vampires instincts inert, you introduce something that is far more vile," Kivar leaned forward, putting both hands on either side of the stone slab next to Lucas' face. His lips were twisted in a grin, showing the double fangs.
"A demon... But they require a contract, mutual consent. It still doesn't work."
"Wrong. Not with us. You forget, Lucas. Mithviya and I are harbors' of two very powerful demons. Our ranks outstrip the ranks of lower demons, and that's all we need."
"So you're forcing demons into Vampires. Sick bastard, I'll kill you!" Lucas strained forward, snarling at Kivar who pulled back as he laughed.
"Mmm," he hummed in amusement, "I would very much love to indulge you and let you try, but alas I think I'll like you more as a puppet."
Lucas' breath caught, fear curdled in his chest, all the while the Stalker before him grew all the more amused. Kivar lifted a hand and held it out towards Lucas. A red circle expanded from the palm of his hand and continued to grow with added circles and symbols curling along the insides of each.
The enormous spell fell over Lucas fully and encompassed his entire body. Immediately he felt something clawing at him. The sickening feeling flooded his body as the presence did all it could to gain a foothold and get inside him. The Vampire shuddered, writhing as he gasped at the assault. In mere seconds, he was reduced to sharp cries that filled the room as he fought to keep himself from falling into the demon's deadly grip.
