AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Hey Readers! Just wanted to say a few things before the chapter is read! :)

Firstly, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 1K READERS! I seriously had a dance when I saw that! So thank-you so much, I love you all.

Secondly, NHL IS BACK TONIGHT BABY! The Oilers don't play, but a lot of other NHL teams do, and I CAN NOT WAIT! YAY!

Thirdly, I am currently writing another fanfiction called "Shooting Stars". It is a Patrick Kane/Jonathan Toews fanfic, and I was just wondering if any of you would be interested in reading it (once it is finished of course.) I HAVE HUGE PLANS FOR THIS BOOK. So, this is merely a heads up, and I was just wondering if ya'll could let me know (by DM, comment, whatever it may be!) if any of you will be interested in reading it.

Lastly, it's a LONG WEEKEND this weekend! YAY! What do you guys have planned? I, personally, am going to Chicago on Friday, and I'M SEEING A BLACKHAWKS GAME ON SATURDAY NIGHT! AHHHHHH! That being said, I will not be able to update until Monday, so that's just a heads up.

Thank-you guys so much, and enjoy Chapter 22! :) <3

Chapter 22

{Taylor}

It’s Saturday, June 14.

It’s been ten days since I kissed Ryan, and I haven’t seen him nor Logan since then.

Of course, I got tons of calls and texts from Logan, but as usual, I ignored them.

I just don’t know what to say. I just don’t know how to get out of this mess.

I need to start by getting out of the apartment. That’s the first step.

It’s currently 2:30 in the afternoon. I decide the best thing for me is to go for a run.

I am really athletic, so sports are always the best way for me to get out stress. I just didn’t have the motivation these past ten days, but today, I strongly think it will be good for me.

It’s a gorgeous day out. The sun is shining, there is a gentle breeze, but it’s not too hot. It is perfect weather for running.

I change into some athletic shorts, a dri-fit t-shirt, runners, and pull my hair up in a high ponytail.

I want to go on a long run. I don’t want to sprint, I just want to jog, and have a good, long, relaxing run to get my mind off of things.

These past ten days have been awful, and I think this will be good for me.

I open my door, and see the flowers Logan had left still sitting there.

I bite my lip to stop myself from crying, close the door, and carefully walk around the flowers. I head downstairs, and leave the apartment building.

I feel the fresh air. I haven’t breathed in a single breath of fresh air since June 4.

It feels so good. It feels so free, so relaxing, and so pure. I already feel a little better.

I can see the excitement already starting to stir up Downtown. It’s Saturday, and in a few hours, it will be Saturday night, and the bars and restaurants will get busy.

I take in the air, feel the sun on my skin, and just relax as I walk.

After I walk for about half an hour, I get to the same trail that Ryan and I had gone on ten days ago.

It’s my favorite trail in the entire city, and running on it is challenging, but fun.

I get to the entrance of the trail, and just take a minute to soak in the city from up here.
