Epilogue

{Taylor}

I apply just a tad bit more lip gloss to add that extra shine to my lips.

I take a step back, and admire my makeup in the mirror.

Today is Saturday, August 16, at about 11:30 in the morning.

My beautiful best friend, Jessica Glow is getting married to the love of her life, today.

And let me tell you, it has been one crazy fucking day.

I woke up at about 7:30 in the morning, as all of us bridesmaids had a group hair appointment at a  beauty salon Downtown at 8:30.

We all got our hair done at the same time, because Jessica wants us all to have the exact same, professional due.

So, I got my hair done, which took until about 10:30. Right after that, I was thrown into the makeup chair of the cosmetic department at that beauty salon, and had my makeup professionally done.

And finally, at 11:00, I was completely dolled up, as well as the other bridesmaids. All I had to do was slip on my dress.

Being the maid of honour, the makeup artist and the hairdresser were sure to take extra good care of me, and have me leaving looking absolutely flawless.

My makeup is beautiful. It looks simply stunning. When I first looked in the mirror after the makeup artist did it for me, I didn’t recognize myself. The foundation was so evenly applied, the eye shadow was the perfect shade of extremely faint blue, my eyelashes were long and thick, my blush was perfectly even, all the powder that was put on me blended in flawlessly, with no evident marks that I was wearing a shitload of makeup.

And of course, my lip gloss was so shiny, it made my lips sparkle like a shimmering star in a sea of dark sky.

It was nuts. I remember getting handed the mirror, gasping, and looking at myself, refusing to believe that this was me.

This was me.

Of course, the hair was just as well done. All the bridesmaids had our hair done the exact same way.

It’s in some fancy bun of some kind, with two loose curls hanging just in front and slightly above my ears.

The hairdresser had to wash my hair, blow dry it, straighten it, then style it. It took a super long time, but it definitely paid off.
