Dedicated to BshMrtnz
JENNIE KIM
"Rosie! The company's stable right now and auntie volunteered to work while I go there."
[Thank you so much unnie! When are you coming here?]
"Tomorrow. I'm already inside the plane. Does Chaeng know anything yet?"
[Nope! Not a clue. He'll be so happy!]
"I know!"
I'll finally see him after a few years!
[Oh! Unnie, I have to go, Irene noona needs help with some files. See you tomorrow unnie! Love yah!]
"Love you too!" I said, hanging up before putting my earphones on and played some music.
I actually know what happened to them since Irene unnie told me what happened. I know I'm not supposed to act like this but I can't help but get overprotective of my baby cousins.
They're the only family I have left ever since my dad was killed by him because of some business shit and my mom committed suicide to end the pain, not knowing she passed it to me.
Auntie kept me under her wing without telling him and continued on raising me as her own since my mom was her sister. I know all of their pain. All the sufferings he gave. All the killings he made just to get where he is now. I don't know if the twins are up to something but I hope they move fast because time is our enemy in this situation. If they hesitate, they'll get killed and no-one wants that to happen.
As I was overthinking, someone patted me on the shoulder, shaking me out of the trance I'm in n and transferring me into another one as I turned to look at the angel bending down my face's level, smiling.
"Yes?" I managed to ask.
"I believe we're seatmates for the next few ours." she said.
"Oh... Well... Welcome aboard then!" I said, matching her smile.
"Thanks mate!" she said, sitting down and putting her small bag on her lap.
"Oh! I am so sorry. I didn't introduce myself first." she said, bowing.
"It's okay." I said.
"It's not. Anyways, I'm Lalisa Manoban. And you are?" she asked, extending her hand out for me to shake.
"Jennie. Jennie Kim." I said, shaking her hand.
"What did you do here in America?" she asked.
"I didn't know we were playing 20 questions." I said, cocking a brow.
"Well, the flights pretty long and boring if we don't talk to each other." she said, shrugging.
"Okay then. To answer your question, I just handled my cousin's family business. What about you?" I asked, smiling at her.
"Well, I'm a photographer and I just finished a shoot here." she answered.
"What are you gonna do in Korea?" I asked.
"I could ask you the same." she replied.
"Fine. I'm going to visit my cousins there."
"I'm going on a vacay."
"Oh..."
"Do you know anyone there?", I asked.
"Yup." she said, still smiling.
