SON CHAEYOUNG

We stopped at the convenience store where he got hit in an attempt for him to at least remember something.

"Something?" I asked.

He looked blankly at the road for a few seconds before he shook his head and turned to me with a sad expression on his face.

"Hyung, it's okay. There's always tomorrow." I said, starting up the engine again.

"But..." he said, looking down.

"Listen... It's okay if you don't completely remember anything. As long as you get some of your memories back, then it's cool with us. We won't stop until that happens, understand?" I said, looking at him for a few seconds before turning my attention back on the road.

"I understand." he replied, still looking sad.

"Hey, it's supposed to be a happy day. You finally got discharged, so smile okay? Let me see that eye smile, hyung!" I said, trying to lighten up the mood.

He chuckled a bit before turning to me and giving that smile we all adore before he bursted out laughing.

"Thanks, Chaeyoung-ssi." he said.

I'll still have to fix that...

"Jeez, hyung... Drop the formalities. Call me Chaeng or cub or whatever. Just not that." I said, laughing it off.

I saw him nod from my peripheral vision and felt satisfied.

After we arrived back at home, I toured him around the house. Starting from the living room, to every place in the house. And stopped when we went in his room.

"So... Is this...?" he asked, roaming his eyes around.

"Yup! This is your humble abode..." I said, observing at how his eyes go from one place to another, finally settling down on his bed.

After a few minutes of looking around, I decided to take him to the rooftop.

"Wanna see the sky?" I asked.

"What?" he asked back, confusion on his face.

"Well, we each have a trap door that leads you to the rooftop." I answered.

"Take me there then." he said, smiling at me.

I opened the trap door and climbed up after helping him by grabbing one of his arms and hoisting him up, making sure I did it carefully.

"Wahh..." he said, looking around.

"Nice view, right?" I asked, happy to see his reaction.

He just nodded at me and raised his arms by his side and closed his eyes, letting the wind blow with a smile plastered on his face.

After a few seconds, he opened his eyes and looked at me, his smile not leaving his face.

"You know... It's okay if I don't remember anything." he said.

"What do you mean?" I asked, concern laced in my voice.

"I mean... How do you explain this?" he chuckled, rubbing his nape.

"Maybe this happened for a reason... You know?" he said.

A reason that's not as good as you think. Hyung, they wanted you dead just so that Momo noona can marry someone they want!

I do not have the heart to say that to him. I may be cruel but not to that extent!

"Meaning?" I asked, curious to what's in his mind.
