Chapter 79

SON CHAEYOUNG

Afternoon came and I was on my way towards the company. As I drove, I remembered the slight tone of worry in Jennie noona's voice as she talked to me hours ago.

What's she so worried about?

I finally arrived and parked the wrangler before I got out and took my sunglasses off as I walked towards the entrance.

"Where's my cousin?" I asked my secretary as he walked with me towards the elevator.

I fired the one he had since that was one of the gold diggers that desperately clung on him like a leech and I didn't want the same thing to happen to me, so I hired a male one, mainly for my safety.

Now don't get the wrong idea. I will never cheat on Mina. I love her with all my heart, but just because I won't touch that secretary doesn't mean she wouldn't want to touch me.

You might be thinking that I think too highly of myself, but that woman didn't even hesitate to have sex with old money. How much more when it comes to new ones?

How do I know that she had sex with him? Simple. I saw her jumping up and down on his lap once because I fucking entered without knocking. And let me tell you, they were both half naked and it was a disgusting sight to see.

After that little scenario, I promise myself to fire her once I'm done with him and to also change everything in the office. Who knows where those filthy pigs had sex. Now, she's probably having sex somewhere with guys twice her age in a fucking bar. But, of course, why should I care about her anyways?

"She's already in your office sir." he answered.

"Has she been waiting long?" I asked again.

"Uhm, I don't know about that part, sir." he said.

"Meaning?"

"She kept herself busy and already finished the paperworks that're needed until next month. The only things that're missing from them are your signatures." he said, right before the elevator dinged, indicating that we're here already.

"In just a few hours?" I asked, yet again as I walked out of the elevator.

"Yes sir. She claimed that she was bored and that she needed something to keep herself busy, otherwise, she will not feel like this is her vacation. Her words, not mine."

I only nodded my head, knowing that my cousin is a bit of a drama queen, but also a workaholic, so I'll have to thank her for handing me a lot of time later and to give her a real vacation.

I opened the door of my office and saw her still buried in paperworks, making me shake my head before I walked towards her with my secretary close behind and liftted her forhead up a bit using my index finger, finally catching her attention.

"Oh, you're here already." she said, putting the pen down.

"Why did you sound a bit worried earlier?" I asked.

"About that... Have you taken your meds?" she asked instead.

"I haven't. Wait! Is this bad?" I asked, sitting down on the chair in front of my desk.

"Yes."

CHOU TZUYU

"Hi noona... Uhm, is Sana here?" I asked as I awkwardly stood outside of their front door with Nayeon noona holding the door open.

"Uh, yeah. She's in her room. Come on in." she said, opening the door wider for me to go in.

"Thank you, noona. I guess I'll just go and surprise her." I said, stepping in.

"Okay then. I think she's sleeping or playing with her phone. I don't know." she blabbered, leading me towards my squirrel's room.

As we arrived, I thanked noona by bowing and held the doornob in my hand before I twisted it and pushed it in, allowing room for my head to stick in and see that Sana-chan was sprawled out on her bed, looking like a starfish with her phone on her bedside table.

I opened the door wider and went in before I silently closed it behind me. I then quietly walked towards her bed and sat down close to her left palm before I gently caressed her face while fixing up a few strands of hair.

She then shifted her head, making me freeze and look at her with wide eyes before she turned to my direction and wrapped her arms around my lower abdomen.

After I was sure that she wasn't going to wake up, I gently removed her arms and placed them on her bed before I took off my shoes and got under her covers. I fixed her position so now I'm hugging her with my right arm as her pillow and used it to play with her hair while my left hand draped on the curve of her waist as she snuggled closer to me, making her head rest on the crook of my neck and her arm on my neck and her other one bended as it rested on my chest.

I guess I can sleep for a bit...

I already took my meds that were in the drawer of my desk and now I'm sitting on the chair infront of my desk again with Jennie noona infront of me with a serious face.

"Is it really bad? Like, the kind of news that'll make my day bad?" I asked, leaning forward.

"Yes."

"Okay then, straight to the point. No beating around the bush." I said, leaning back on my seat as I crossed my legs with my right above my left.

"The body wasn't burned."

What body?

Jennie noona noticed that I had a look filled with confusion, making her let out a deep sigh.

"His body wasn't burned." she elaborated.

Those four words made my blood run cold and rage cloud my eyes before I slammed my palm on the table with enough force to make some of the papers fall down.

Jennie noona didn't even flinch or look at me with scared eyes. Instead, she looked at me with annoyance.

"Do you know how hard it is to arrange these?" she asked, referring to the now scattered papers as she cocked an eyebrow at me.

Tsk.

"What do you mean it wasn't burned?" I asked instead, my voice laced with venom.

"It means what it means. Someone took the body that night and even made your men unconscious. But don't worry, I already have a list of suspects." she said.

"Give them to me."
