Chapter 103

KIM TAEHYUNG

"Kid... look at me." I commanded, walking towards a certain person with his head down.

I know Kai will head straight towards Lisa's room and tell her what's happening right now but I didn't care. I'm gonna leave this place with them anyways so they can ask their questions once we're free.

"I don't want to repeat myself." I said, lifting his chin up with my index finger.

He's so close, yet so far for me to be with. I guess this is what it feels like to love someone you can't have...

"What do you think of me?" he suddenly asked, catching me off guard, but I quickly regained myself.

"Do you want me to give you my honest answer or the sugarcoated words I'd rather give?" I asked instead, dropping my hand that was holding his chin.

"Why would I want you to lie to me?" he asked, looking at me straight in my eyes.

"Because I don't want you to know the truth."

SON CHAEYOUNG

"Mina... I promise I'll be back." I said through the phone while I held my gun tight.

[Promise me you'll keep that promise.]

"I promise. I still have to marry you, remember?"

[Yes. Yes, you do.]

"You'll see me tomorrow. Tomorrow's gonna be about you. We'll do whatever you want."

[Okay. See you, Chaeng. I love you.]

"I love you too." I said, hanging up.

When I placed my phone inside my pocket, I saw Tzuyu hang up too. Then Jeongyeon hyung and finally, Dahyun hyung. I looked at Taemin hyung and Sunmi noona and saw the two of them holding hands while hyung's driving.

This is a suicide mission... but I don't regret it.

"Guys..." Tzuyu called out.

"What is it, kid?" Taemin hyung asked.

"I'm sorry for dragging all of you into this." he said, looking down, making Jeongyeon hyung -who was beside him- wrap his arm around his shoulder before he pulled him in for a headlock and ruffled his hair.

"You don't have to be sorry, Yoda. We're a family. And besides, your brother's life is at stake here. Same with Lisa's." Jeongyeon hyung said.

"Yeah. Just promise us that you'll treat every single one of us out to dinner tomorrow." Dahyun hyung said, making Yoda smile.

Yeah... there's still tomorrow...

Ring~ Ring~

"Chaeng, your phone's ringing." Tzuyu said, snapping me out of my thoughts before I pulled my phone out and saw Jennie noona's the one calling.

She's in the other van with Jisoo noona, Yoongi hyung, Rosé, Namjoon hyung and Jin hyung. There's three vans in total and the third one contains Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna.

"What's wrong noona?" I asked.

[Chaeng... Lisa called us.]

"And?"

[She said that Tzuyu's brother hasn't come back yet and that we should hurry.]

"Okay, okay. Thank you." I said before I hung up and practically commanded hyung to drive faster.

"Just tell me!" Jungkook shouted, gripping his hair as he stepped back while I watched him with my eyes filled with sadness.
