Chapter 61

MYOUI MINA

Classes are over and I'm not at the school's gate, waiting for Chaeyoung. Jeongyeon oppa and Tzuyu already took Nayeon unnie and Sana unnie home while Jihyo still needed to return a book she forgot, at the library.

After a few seconds of waiting, Chaeng finally came wearing a black leather jacket covering a white top with black jeans and military boots, looking like a delicious meal for my eyes. But of course, I can't say that, now can I?

"Hey babe." he said, kissing me on my forehead.

"I'm sorry I was a bit late. It won't happen again." he added, hugging me tight.

"It's okay." I replied, showing him my gummy smile.

"Why didn't you come to school today?" I asked.

"Do you really want me to answer that question?" he asked back.

"Why wouldn't I?"

"Because I know you wouldn't like the answer."

"Look Chaeng, I won't hate for something I know you have a good reason for doing. I'm not that kind of person." I said, rubbing his cheek wth my thumb.

What could his reason be?

The hell should I do?

I know keeping her in the dark will only cause damage and would make a dent in our relationship, but I don't wanna taint her. If anything, I just wanna shouler every shitty things this world has to offer. But unfortunately, I can't.

"Chaeng? Hey, it's okay if you're not ready. I understand." she said, giving the tip of my nose a peck before she slightly giggled.

She doesn't deserve this...

"No need to wait... I don't wanna keep you in the dark anymore." I said, hugging her again, tighter this time because I'm afraid that after she knows, she might disappear.

She didn't reply, instead, she hugged me back and laid her head on my shoulder.

"Where do you wanna talk?" I asked.

"At your house." she replied.

"What about Nayeon noona and Sana noona? Won't they wonder where you are?" I asked.

"Right... Can you just bring me back at the apartment and then maybe..." she trailed off.

"Sure. Let's go then?" I asked, offering my hand.

"Let's go!" she squealed, holding on.

We arrived at our apartment and Nayeon noona opened the door for us and let us in after giving us a look and smirking.

Chaeng told her everything before Nayeon unnie pulled me and told Chaeng to make himself feel at home. She dragged me towards my room and immediately locked the door.

"Unnie? What was that about?" I asked.

"Why don't you stay with him for the night?" she asked.

Well that was straightforward...

"What?"

"Oh come on, Mina. You'll come home late and it would be a hassle for Chaeng to drive back and forth." she said, smirking at me.

"Is Chaeng part of this?" I asked.

"What the- Girl, if he was, I would've spilled the beans already." she replied, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.
