SON CHAEYOUNG
"Are you coming with us?" I asked her as I laid down on my bed.
"Of course I am." she said as closed the file she was focusing on.
"I'll beat him black and blue. Do you think you can handle the sight?" I asked as I turned to face her.
"Do you think I can't?" she asked back.
No.
"I don't know. That's why I'm asking you." I said, shrugging.
"Look... Just... Okay... Fine..."
"What?" I asked, this time sitting on the bed, facing her.
"Fine. I'll turn around and put my earphones on when you beat him up. Just tap my shoulder when you'll interrogate him." she explained, shrugging.
I nodded my head and pulled out my phone. I scrolled around until I landed on a picture of Minari. I looked at it, trying to find some sort of imperfection to stop my feelings from growing even further because I know that I want her to be happy with some normal guy instead of a person like me.
"Mina unnie?" Rosé suddenly said, making me jump in surprise.
When? What?
"When did you-"
"Dude... Do you really think I'm dense to what my brother's feeling?" she started, looking at me dead straight in the eye.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Look... I'm not oblivious to the fact that you're doubting yourself and you're using her picture to find some imperfections for your feelings to stop. What about the poor girl? Do you even know what she's feeling?" she finished, raising a brow at me, making me stop.
Am I being selfish? No? I mean... She might be seeing someone already. Right?
"Rosie... I think I have a clue on what she's feeling, okay?" I said, turning my phone off.
For a second her eyes lit up. She probably thought that Minari likes me too.
"If you're thinking that she likes me back, then you're wrong. She doesn't." I said.
I saw how her expression turned into a cold one as she pinched closer to me and smacked the back of my head. Hard.
"What the hell was that for?!" I shouted as I rubbed the part where she hit.
"Boys." she muttered, going back to a file and continuing her work.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked, standing up and walking towards her.
"Explain." she demanded, crossing her arms.
Well, what a demanding biach...
"Fine!" I said, also crossing my arms.
"I value what we have now and I don't want it to end just because I have the nerve to ask her out. She might not even feel the same way!" I said.
"Then find out. What are you so afraid of? Getting rejected? Getting avoided? Getting treated differently? It's part of our life Chaeng. We of all people should be the first ones to get use to it." she gently said.
"You know... You have to tell her what you feel. Unless you wanna watch her love someone else she doesn't even deserve." she added.
"You think I don't know that?" I asked, looking at her.
"I wanna have her. So bad. But can you blame me? I'm a killer Rosie, we all are. I don't want her to get involved with me when I have so many fucked up crap in my life I can't even control." I added.
