JENNIE KIM

"Listed ten businessmen and women. Already told Taemin oppa and Sunmi unnie to spy a few, so I could get some off your plate." I said as I handed Chaeng the piece of paper from my pocket.

"How many are being spied already?" he asked, taking the paper before he began examining the names.

"Only six for now. But don't worry, I'll also help so you can spend more time with Mina." I said, winking at him as I watched in amusement at how his face and neck turned red.

My phone suddenly rang, making me pick it up and look at the caller ID.

Lalisa Manoban... Why are you calling me?

"I'll handle these two, you handle the others left." he said, cutting me out of my thoughts.

"Oh! And by the way, based on that questioning look on your face, I think you should answer that call before you make a fool out of yourself when you two meet." he added, making me choke on my own spit before he stood up and walked out of his office.

Fine. Let's get this over with.

"Hello?"

[Hey! Let's have lunch together.]

"What's with the sudden invite?"

[I'm leaving again in a few weeks. But it's okay if you don't want to-]

"I haven't answered your question yet."

[It actually wasn't a question...? It was more of a statement.]

"Oh... Then let's go."

It wouldn't be a bad idea to hang out with a friend, right?

[Oh! Okay then, I'll pick you up. Where are you?]

"No need. Just tell me where you are."

[Banpo Bridge...]

"Coming!" I said as I fixed my things before I stood up and went around the desk.

[Okay babe, I'll wait for you!]

My feet stopped walking as my eyes widened by the nickname before the gears in my head started to turn.

It's normal for two girls who're friends to call each other that.. Right?

"Yeah... Bye."

LALISA MANOBAN

I hung up and silently squealed before I composed myself and waited for Jennie to come.

It's been weeks since I last saw her and let me tell you, as cliché as it sounds, I've been thinking about her.

Okay... You just have to make it look like you weren't affected by the nickname. Just act normal. NORMAL!

RING~ RING~

The thought of Jennie as the caller made me immediately pick up without even looking at the ID. I don't even know why just the sound of her cold yet sweet voice makes me all giddy like a ten year old girl about her crush at school.

"Hey! Where are you?"

[Look behind you.]

Wait, it's too deep to be her...

I tried to turn around, but it was too late. Everything went black.

JENNIE KIM

"Where is she?" I asked no-one in particular as I looked around.

I arrived a few seconds ago and looked around and found no signs of her. It's weird.

She couldn't possibly be hiding somewhere since there aren't any good hiding spots and even any sort of transportation she could use could not be of any use in hiding her body.

"Uhm, excuse me. Have you seen a tall girl with long hair and straight bangs?" I asked a man - probably in his early twenties- that passed by, grabbing his wrist and gently tugging him to stop him from walking away.

"I'm sorry, miss. I haven't." he coldly replied, enough to send shivers down my spine, making me automatically let go.

"Thank you." I just said, straightening my back before I turned around and walked away.

I dialed Rosé's number and thankfully, she picked up before I asked her to give me Jisoo unnie's number and she did. I then hung up and dialed unnie's number and after two rings, she picked up.

[Hello? Who is this?]

"Unnie, this is Jennie. Sorry for suddenly calling you. Rosé gave me your number, don't worry."

[Oh, okay then. What made you call?]

"I was wondering if you know where Lisa is. She told me that she's here at Banpo Bridge, but I arrived a few minutes ago and she's not even giving me the slightest hint that she's here."

[What do you mean? She left an hour ago and only sent me a text that she's already there. Maybe she's just hiding somewhere?]

"Seriously? I don't there's any good hiding spots here..."

[Okay then... Wait! You arrived a few minutes ago?]

"I have... Why?"

[Jennie... I don't think she's hiding anymore.]

I'm not close with her but hearing that just puts me close to the edge.

"What?"

[It's- it's not like her to hide that long. She usually just jumps out and scare the living shits outta you, instead of waiting that long.]

I heard shuffling and some rustling noises on the other line, making me walk towards my motorcycle and sling my leg across it.

[Where did you say you were again?]

"Banpo Bridge. Why?"

[I'll head there.]

Then she hung up.

(A/N: I DON'T KNOW WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS!!!)
