Deku's warm body cuddled deeper into my arms. I let a soft smile form on my lips. I never thought that Deku would ever want to be near me. Especially after everything I did. I bullied him for so long... I hurt him so much... How could he love me like he did?
Deku's green fluff of hair moved as he groaned and opened his eyes. He glanced at me with a frown.
"Deku..?" I mumbled. Deku softly shook his head and raised his arms above his head to stretch. He let out a small yawn.
A ringing sound reverberated off of the walls as the doorbell was rung. My mouth uttered a small sigh. I didn't want to move away from Deku. Almost unwillingly, I wrapped my arms under Deku's knees and lifted him up before I set him down on the couch.
My arms raised themselves knife my head as I stretched. I walked to the door and turned the knob to open it. What I was didn't surprise me in the slightest.
"What the fuck do you want?" I asked.
"Chill, dude. I was wondering if you wanted to go to the bar to pick up some ladies," Kaminari questioned.
"You have a wife. And you're better off going to a fucking host club," I responded while I leaned my arm against the doors casing.
"Come on, man. Come have a good time with me and the boys," Kaminari persisted. I heard Deku walk over to the kitchen area.
"Oooh~... Who's in your house? Got a girlfriend?" Kaminari wiggled his eyebrows. I shook my head in frustration.
"Leave me the fuck alone," I pushed myself away from the doors casing and quickly shut the door behind me.
"Come on!" Kaminari's voice was muffled by the closed door. I huffed as I walked over to the kitchen to see what Deku was doing. Everything suddenly slowed down when I turned the corner and entered room. My eyelids snapped completely open.
"Deku..." I said as I watched what Deku was doing. Deku turned around in shock as I called his name. I looked down at his shaking right hand. He was holding one of my kitchen knifes.
"Deku," I slowly approached him, "Please... Drop the knife..."
Deku rapidly shook his head as he speedily brought up his wrist and put the knife against it. I stopped moving.
"Kachan... Please... I have to do this..." He gulped. His grip on the knife became tighter and his shaking got worse.
"Deku..." I struggled with what to say next, "Think this over..."
"I've thought about it. What I'm doing is right. This is my way of repentance," Deku's voice was trembling.
"Repentince?" I softly repeated.
Deku took a deep breath before saying, " I've hurt so many people. I have to repent."
He then clenched his eyes shut and bit his lip as he slid the knife across his wrist. The knife fell from his grasp as he held onto his wrist with his right hand.
"Deku!?" I ran to Deku and grabbed his wrist to see the damage. My shoulders dropped in relief when I noticed that Deku had missed his major arteries. The cut he did make wasn't deep, and it didn't let out much blood.
My grip on his arm became tighter as sudden rage filled my body. I whipped my unused hand up and clenched Deku's shirt collar. He opened his eyes and let out a shaky breath as he realized I was glaring at him.
"Who the fuck said you could 'repent..?' If you wanted to do that so badly, why the hell don't you help the people you hurt..?" I shouted.
"This is the only way to be forgiven," Deku whispered in a fear-filled voice. His eyes were watery.
