I discovered Aspen on my trip to the basement. He was curled up into a small ball. I ran over, dropping loads of laundry in the process. I wrap my arms around him and try to muffle his crying.
"Shh, shh, Aspen, what's the matter?" I murmur, my mouth barely touching his ear.
"I was the one that tinkered with the blood thinner." He admitted.
It took me aback. My darling Aspen, making trouble? No.
"You didn't mean for it to be that drastic, did you?" I asked.
"Yes, I meant for it to be drastic, but I wanted it to be drastically good." He cried. "America will fire me, and separate me from the one I love."
I sighed. How sweet he was.
"If you are fired, I'll follow you. I won't be separated from the one I love, either."
