I woke with a start as my door swung open, "Wake up darling our flight is in an hour," I groaned. Freddie chuckled, "I'm excited too," he said. I pulled the covers over my head closing my eyes hoping this was all just a bad dream. Unfortunately it wasn't. Freddie spanked me playfully, "get up Rosalie, if your not downstairs in the next half hour I'm going beat you blue." With that Freddie left the room. I took a deep breath. This was going to suck, I could already tell this was going to be the worst trip ever. "28 minutes!!" Freddie called from downstairs. I dragged myself out of the bed and looked in the mirror. Cringing I put my hair in a bun and did some light make up so I at least looked presentable. I then changed into a white sweater with black short shorts on. I knew my dad wouldn't be happy I wore them but that was the point. My hickeys has faded to my delight, I was so furious with Jake, he had called the house a number amount of times but I kept telling Jim and Freddie to tell him I wasn't home. I walked downstairs with my suitcase and placed it in front of the door, I walked into the kitchen where Freddie and Jim were drinking their coffee. Jim's lips pursed and he tried to play it off with a smile, but I saw it. Freddie looked to where Jim was looking and took a deep breath closing his eyes. "Are you ready to go dear??" He asked. And I nodded. "Alright then let's go shall we?"
*later that day*
"Oh darling isn't it beautiful?!" Freddie asked me from the plane, I took a look out the window, it was indeed a gorgeous view, however I was still upset with the fact that I was grounded to admit it. "Very pretty," I said acting like I wasn't interested, Freddie frowned and I buried myself in my book. The plane landed shortly after that and we made our way over to our hotel, it was way to much and much more than we needed but that was my father for you. When we pulled up there were reporters everywhere, "Papa, did you tell them we were coming?" I asked confused, Freddie's looked just as confused as I did before he stated, "No but I'll bet I know who did, come here Betee" Freddie put his arm over me in order to protect me from the reporters, who could get physical, and lead me and Jim inside. "Elton!" Freddie yelled and I saw the one and only Elton John. "Ah Fred! How have you been!?" Elton asked as he gave Freddie a hug, "simply wonderful darling," A man walked to us with a girl who seemed to be my age attached to his arm. I did not know who the man was, but Freddie seemed to know him because his jaw went tight and his eyes turned sour, "John Reid, it had been a while," John looked down and smiled sheepishly, "Freddie Mercury, well this is unexpected," Elton jumped in, "I invited him dear," The girl next to the man cleared her throat, "Oh Freddie, meet my daughter Heather," I studied Heather, sizing her up, she seemed to be a nice girl, but looks can be deceiving, "it's a pleasure to meet you Heather, meet my daughter Rosalie," I nodded my head to both of them clinging on to Freddie's arm, Elton looked confused for a moment, "I don't believe I have had the pleasure of meeting you, what was your name?" He was talking to Jim, Jim shook the hand that Elton had extended, "Jim Hutton, it's very nice to meet you," Elton smiled, "oh Fred it has been ages! We need to catch up!!" John Reid did not look like he thought that was a good idea, but he didn't say anything. "What an amazing idea Elton! Why don't we go to dinner tonight?" Fred exclaimed, he put his hand on my shoulder and squeezed. "Elton-" John started but Elton spoke over him, "Dinner sounds amazing" Elton said and Freddie smiled. "Well we should really go up to our room, Betee be polite," Freddie said nudging me. I held my hand out, "it's been a pleasure," Elton kissed my hand, "the pleasure is all mine," he stated before giving Freddie a hug and kissing his cheek, John stuck his hand out to shake my hand, I reached out to do the same but Freddie pulled my hand back and dragged me to the lift. "Papa!?" I exclaimed, "hush Rosalie" he snapped. Confused I let him drag me to the room. "Freddie are you alright?" Jim asked once we were inside, "Yes I'm fine." Freddie said but it was obvious he wasn't, "who was that?" I asked, "that was Elton you have met him before dear," Freddie said acting like nothing happened, as he unpacked his bag. "Not him, the other on John, something," Freddie stopped squeezing he was holding for a moment before he continued to unpack, "It doesn't matter, I don't want you talking to him at all," I huffed, "why not?" Him walked past me and started to help Freddie with his other bag full of his songs for his album. "Because I don't want you to." I rolled my eyes, "that's not an answer." I stated, "well it is today," I stood up and began fingering the antique lamp on the dresser. "He seemed like a nice chap," I stated which apparently pissed Freddie off. "I don't care what he seemed like Rosalie you are not allowed to talk to him, understand?" I rolled my eyes but apparently that wasn't a good enough answer. "What was that Betee?" He asked and I sighed in annoyance. "Yes Papa," I blurted out. Seeming satisfied Freddie went back to unpacking his things. It was then I suddenly remembered who John was.
