"I just don't understand why you're so protective of her" I grumble.
"Well Accadia, I don't understand why you're so jealous." Jace snaps at me.
"Because you spend more time with Clary than you do with me!" I point out.
"I'm training her." he says bluntly.
"I know you're training her but you hang out after training, you go to the movies with her! Something you always said to me you would never do because it was too 'mundane'" I rant.
"Well maybe I'm a bit fed up"
"Fed up with what?"
"With your constant need for attention."
At this point we had attracted a crowd, Alec, Izzy, Sergey and Clary within it. They stand rigid, the tension so thick they can barely breathe.
"I'm sorry I care about the fact that my boyfriend spends more time with another girl than with me..."
"Why does it matter?" he asks angrily.
"Because I'm scared! I'm insecure... and the fact that you are oblivious to how hurt I am scares me!" I blurt out.
The room falls silent.
His face falls.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he mumbles, "Why didn't you tell me?!"
He steps closer to me raising his arms in anger. Sergey slips in front of me, pushing him backwards.
"Come at her like that again and you'll lose your legs." he threatens.
"I just want to talk."
"Not if it's gonna hurt her. You don't get to hurt her."
"I'm not going to, now move." Jace says forcefully.
"You're not exactly convincing me that you won't hurt her." Sergey sasses.
"I swear on the Angel."
At this point I have backed away and walked into the arms of Izzy as she hugs me tightly.
"Accadia please."
"You don't get to talk to me. I told you I was genuinely worried and you just ignore it. You go to hit me or... something. And then get defensive when my parabatai protects me."
"But I-"
"Stop it."
"Accadia please don't-"
"I'm not breaking up with you. Just need some time."
