todays the day. i cant wait to see my princess. i woke up early and made myself breakfast. i couldnt really eat because of the excitement. major butterflies damn.
addy's pov
my mom had told me i had to get up and get ready because we had a big day. i wore a simple crop top with grey sweats and wore my hair in a bun. i wore my everyday makeup. i haven't worn makeup in a while. i haven't been in the best mood.
here's why...
when i was 10 i was adopted. cps came for my parents and took me. that's all i know. i only remember their first names. lydia and oliver. weird to even think about those names. my last name was changed after my aunt and unlce adopted me. i want to see my parents again. i heard they have other kids. i want to know my family. i hadn't told chase or anyone about it because i didn't want them worrying about me or thinking of me differently. i know it isnt something for them to see my differently but im just nervous to say anything i guess. my parents were young when i was born so that's the only reason i can think of. my mom was 16 and my dad was 19.
that has been on my mind since my cousins left our house and moved. they know my parents and they know my siblings or sibling i don't know.
i was packing my bags for tour and for the days until tour. my mom told me that i was staying with her somewhere else in california called el dorado hills which happens to be really far. i don't know where it is. im just gonna go with the flow.
i checked my phone and saw my mom had told me to come down. i brought all my luggage downstairs and met my mom in the front yard. "hey ready to go?" she asked while loading my luggage in her car. i nodded and got in the passenger seat. she started playing the radio. when the party's over by billie eilish came on. i felt myself drifting in a sleep. my face hit my pillow i was holding in my lap. then i felt someone tapping my arm.
i lifted up my head and saw it was my mom. "you slept this whole time. im stopping at a gas station that's 10 minutes away. i nodded and wiped my sleepy eyes. i made myself look presentable enough for others to see me. we pulled up at the gas station but my mom parked at the store part of it. she got out of the car and so did i. when we walked in my mom went behind me. this is really weird honestly. i walked around to make it seem like i wasn't expecting anything.
suddenly i felt arms wrap around me. the scent filled my nose. then i knew it was him. i turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck. he held me close on my waist. we rocked back and forth. "my lover boy" i said loud enough for everyone around us to hear. "my babe" he did the same.
after our little moment we walked back to my mom's car and transferred my luggage from my mom's car to his sister's car. when it was all loaded up i went to say bye to my mom. i hugged her tightly and she whispered quietly "be careful, be smart, have fun baby" i smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek. she waved as i got in the car.
chase and i got in the back seat together. he put his hand on my thigh. "how are you feeling addy?" karissa asked me looking at me through the mirror's reflection. "a little confused but my happiness trumps it all" i look back at her through the mirror. "we're going to target. you good with that?" she makes sure im good. "yeah let's go" i reassure her im okay.
we arrived there and chase and i took off. we walked around it and got some snacks. we went through the baby isle and it hit me. the test. i tug on his sleeve and whisper "the test" to him. he instantly knew what i was referring to. he nodded and took me to them. i looked quickly while he kept watch for his sister. i grabbed 3 for a better answer. we went to check out and did separate payments to the tests than food. as soon as we paid for the tests i hid them in my sleeve. we threw away the receipt to the pregnacy tests so there wasn't proof we bought them.
we went back to karissa's car where we met her. we drove back to his house in silence. to break the awkward silence, karissa put music on. when we got back, chase's parents weren't home. we took my luggage upstairs to his room.
while walking upstairs i felt a tap on my shoulder. i turned around and there was karissa with a pregnancy test in her hand. "are you-" she says not being able to finish her sentence. she was speechless. "i don't know maybe" i answer unsurely.
we all go up to chase's room. how could i be so dumb? i dropped it. im so stupid. she walks in front of me and says "look addy, my brother is really dumb if he didn't use protection. but i love him and i know how much he loves you so i'll support you two no matter what decisions you make. as soon as you find out tell me and i'll do my best to help" i sat there speechless. i stood up and gave her a hug as a sign of appreciation. "well speaking of i think it's time" chase suggests. i nod looking at the floor. he takes my hand and takes me to the bathroom. he steps just outside of the door and waits for me.
i took all 3 and let chase in. he kissed my head and took my hand. the 1st test said negative. i felt relief. maybe im good. but the second one gave 2 lines meaning positive. our eyes were now glued on the 3rd one. it was clearblue so it was the most accurate. then the resuls flashed on it. it read...
