i woke up pretty early to get on the road. i was going to have lunch in la with my mom. since my dad had to work today. the plan was to leave the house by noon to get on the road. we live in long beach so we were an hour at most away from los angeles. we would get lunch and usually it takes a couple hours because we talk a lot when we go out to eat. it was a rare occasion where it would only be me and my mom. so we had some catching up to do. after lunch we would check me into the hotel and unpack a little. my mom was going to meet the gang.
i wasn't annoyed of my mom. i loved her and didn't keep much from her. i was excited for her to meet them.

we finally were on the road. my mom was playing one direction and i was singing loudly and dancing. "having fun there?" my mom giggled. "totally!" i replied with. "where should we eat?" my mom changed the subject. "olive garden sounds bomb right now" i reply with. "olive garden it is"
the drive wasn't bad at all. when we arrived there we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. by this time it was 1 already. we both ordered our drinks. once we finally settled my mom lead the conversation. "how do u feel about the week?" "im excited. i will have so much fun. plus we all are old enough to take care of ourselves" i was in the middle of explaining. when i feel a tap on the shoulder.
i turn around to see a young girl maybe 13 years old. "hi are you adalyn blake?" she asks me. "yes i am" i say with a big smile. "can i get a picture? i love you!" she says nervously. "yeah love you too." she turns to her parents who are taking the photo. she hugs me and leaves.
"wow you earned it sweetie. you earned your popularity" my mom says with a proud face. we took 3 hours in olive garden. we headed straight to the hotel which was 20 minutes away.
we got there at 4:30. "mom 30 more minutes!!" i whisper in excitement. we checked into my room. my mom unpacked me shoes and nessecties while i sat on my phone.

i look up at my mom who is still unpacking for me. "mom you don't have to. im a big girl i can do it" i say causing laughter from both of us. "its that time where we wait in the lobby" my mom says putting a hand on my shoulder. "im ready i think" the nerves were real. omg this is gonna happen. i was getting so anxious and happy. i received a text from chase.

then a familiar voice rings through my ears. "ADS!" "HANNAH!" we run into each others arms. only stayed in the hug for maybe 20 seconds. i introduced her to my mom and my mom liked her already. "im going to put my bags in my room but i'll come back down"
while waiting for hannah, i heard my name and i quickly turned around. payton caught my eye and i ran to him. he caught me in the biggest hug. our hug was short but sweet. my mom automatically liked him too.
payton and hannah crossed each other in the hallways. i heard they ran to each other too. now 3 of us were waiting in the lobby. it grew silent. not awkwardly, more like speechless. i peeked over at payton who had his phone up indicating he was recording me. i jumped at him and slapped his phone out of his hands. he ended up posting it on his story.
then hannah ran towards the door. jumping into elmo's arms as he dropped his luggage to hug her back. she cried in his shirt causing me to cry too. then she brought him to us and i gave him a little hug. he put his bags in his and hannah's room. right before they came back anthony walked through the door. i stood there in shock. it was really him.
he came up to me to embrace me in a hug. i hugged him tight. i pulled away quickly because i spotted drayke walk in the lobby. he walked up to us and gave us all hugs. him and anthony walked up together.
"what do ya think?" i say with a grin. "i love them all. feels like they're my babies i already love them haha" my mom says wiping a tear from proudness. chase was giving me HELLA butterflies so i texted him to know when to expect him.

"hes almost here oh my god" i turn to the not completed gang. 5 minutes have passed and the nerves were out of control. then i heard a familiar voice that made me lose my shit. i ran to him as fast as i could. he dropped everything and held his arms out until i was in them. he lifted me off the ground for a few seconds. tightening his grip on my waist he whispered in my ear "that was very much needed" i giggle as i pull him a little closer. we stayed in our hug for a good minute.
