addy's pov
we got home and all fell asleep. the baby stayed asleep for 3 hours. we all had a 3 hour nap. when she woke up it was 9 pm. we decided to order food. we used postmates to get panda express. i got a plate along with some sides because i hadn't eated much since before birth. i got lila to latch on to breastfeed before our food got there. she stayed on even when our food was here.
i used a pillow to hold her body so she can still eat while i ate. "damn the babys hungry she is so tiny maybe shes trying to grow muscles" chase joked at how much the baby was eating. we were staying at chase's house because it was close to the baby's doctors. and she had an appointment soon.
she was really small when she was born but big enough to not stay in the nicu she is really strong too and has good health. everyone was in their rooms by this point. tomorrow his grandparents were coming over. after i ate i put the baby down to sleep and put her in the crib. chase and i slept on a mattress we put in the nursery. and fell asleep quickly.
we woke up due to lila crying at 9 am. i checked my phone to see the time. "oh wow she slept in more than i thought" i said looking at chase who was changing her morning diaper. i stood up next to him to see how he was doing with the diaper. "good job babe you're good at this whole dad thing" i lean my head on his shoulder watching the baby.
i wiped her down with a baby wipe since she can't bathe yet and got her dressed. she wore the outfit his grandparents got her.
it was a little big on her but it was newborn size. her video was taken already for the birth announcement video. chase and i had it ready to go so we posted it. it was titled "3.9.20"
(Pretend its the future lol) immediately we got so many comments on how cute she was and how tiny she was. she was so loved and it made me feel so happy. chase and i decided to post before any of our friends or family can.
the fans gave us so much love and support it made me so proud to be a mom. the doorbell rung and my mom answered it while chase walked me down the stairs with lila over my shoulder. she had fallen back asleep. chase's gradparents were now sat in the living room where chase i and i went. we greeted them and said hi. "shes tiny oh my" his grandma says admiring her. "want to hold her?" i ask before recieving a nod from her. i laid lila in her arms so she can see the baby's face. "i remember when chase was a baby and i would hold him. now im holding his baby. time flies doesn't it? shes beautiful! lila, i love you so much! look at you oh my goodness!" she talks to her in a baby voice.
just hours later we had more visitors. we recieved so many gifts for not only the baby but for me and chase too. we allowed everyone and anyone to post her on their stories and socials. chase and i also had tweeted out about posting a new youtube video.

hey luvs so send some questions u wanna know abt my birth, pregnancy, or just lila in general we're filming tonight :)
we had visitors for 8 hours today. it didn't tire me out. all lila really did was sleep, poop, and eat so she did get worn out. she slept most of the time. it was time for us to flim and we had lots of questions already.
chase set up the camera and started filming. i had just put lila down in her crib. we moved her crib to our room for now. "well we don't have an intro for this channel so hey what's up! for those of you who don't know im chase, this is addy. we have a baby named lila. shes sleeping" "so we went on twitter and asked you guys to send in some questions so that's the video for today. when i did a pregnancy update on this channel, i didn't answer anything so this is when your questions will be answered"
"how much did lila weigh at birth she looks really tiny. yeah she is small haha she weighed 5 pounds 2 ounces" chase started the first question. "she was going to be put in nicu but they said she was very healthy and didn't need to. she was showing signs that she didn't need help with anything however we go back in a couple of days to see if she gained any weight if not they need to keep her but i mean she's been eating a lot. oh this one is for me it says 'addy are you breastfeeding or bottle feeding' i am breastfeeding because it gives vitamins to her and i bond with her. its cheaper too." "will you make a birth vlog or a birth video? well we didn't vlog because it happened so quickly but we want to sit down and talk through what happened and how it happened"
we went through many more questions and edited it pretty quickly. we also uploaded the same day. i went to go check up on lila and she was still sound asleep. she hadn't woke up to eat which had concerned me. "um chase she hasn't eaten since she woke up at 9. its like dinner time" chase's eyebrows went up and his eyes went wide. "try to feed her right now" "if i wake her up now she won't sleep the rest of the night" "yeah but i would rather know my baby ate and be restless than sleep knowing my baby didn't eat and is starving herself" i thought about what he said and picked her up. i sat down on the bed and tried to feed her but she wouldnt eat.
she cried and wouldn't latch. i had chase make a bottle to see if she would at least eat that. he tried giving her that but she still wouldn't eat. it was stressing me out. chase was holding her facing the opposite way of her. he stood up and walked out of the room with her.
i heard him knock on a door. then i heard his moms voice. he told her what was going on and that we needed help. just then i heard lila start fussing. i walked over there with them and stood next to chase who was handing me the petite newborn. "maybe she's hungry now? try again and call me if shes still not eating" his mom advised so we went back to the room. i put the baby down and put a sports bra on. i lifted it up and made sure it was in her mouth. she finally latched on and ate.
10 minutes later she let go and cried loudly. it wasn't too loud but it was loud for her. i rocked her back and forth but she kept crying. i put her on my chest and chase held her hand with his pinky. she calmed down around 3 am.
we woke up to lila crying again at 4:30 am. i sat up and changed her diaper. "why are you crying baby? mommy wants to help you. it hurts my heart when you cry. baby girl mommy is going to be with always. i will fix it i promise" i say letting a couple tears stream down my face.
"never thought you could love someone so much huh" chase's mom sat next to me. i wiped my tears away and nodded. "she keeps crying and i can't tell what's wrong" she pulled my head into her chest for a motherly hug. "maybe you should take her in? what kind of cry is it?" she asks me. "it sounds like shes in pain" i let more tears run down my face.
"yeah lets take her in. i can take you guys. just sit in the back with her. theres a carseat in my car" i nodded and proceeded to get dressed. chase looked presentable he didn't have to do much. i threw my hair up in a bun and wore a hoodie and sweats. i didn't put makeup on either. i threw my converse on and picked up the baby.
i put pajamas on her that buttoned up all the way so she wouldn't be cold and they could see unbutton easily. we all got in the car and lila cried herself to sleep. i slept on the way there and so did chase. when we got there i took her out of the carseat and held up in a blanket. i went to sign her into the emergency room.
"hello you're here for the emergency room?" a youger woman asked me. i nodded my head. "okay i need first name, last name, middle initial, and date of birth" "lila r. hudson 3/9/20"
"oh the chadalyn baby? aw shes so new. i hope everything is okay" "thank you and yep that baby" i say before walking away. i don't mind being recognized its just a little weird in a hospital.
double doors opened and the name "lila hudson" was called. we followed the doctor into a room...
