Kim Taehyung walked around the empty streets of Queen's, taking in the city's late-night atmosphere. The dirty gas smells of old cars and the many lights in the apartments that shut down one by one made the blue-haired boy feel like home, somehow.
He arrived at a small park in the center of the borough, walking down the path and taking deep breaths of semi-fresh air. Although the young male was very extroverted and outgoing, he loved to be on his own sometimes.
He stopped in his steps when he saw a small figure sitting on one of the park's benches. He cocked his head to the side, confused as to why someone would be sitting there at this point of time. Not like he was judging, he was there too, after all.
The figure seemed to be shivering, body shocking from what Taehyung could only assume were coughs. But it was high summer, was he cold with eighty degrees fahrenheit outside?
The blue haired boy had always been caring and protecting over every person. He always succeeded to find the best in people, even those who showed him only their worst side. So, being the caring person he was, he walked up to the bench.
He cleared his throat, making the person lookup. From what he could make out with the help of distant street lights and the weak light of the stars and moon, it was a boy. His lips looked much darker than the rest of his face, from what Taehyung was able to see, making him even more worried about the complete stranger.
"H-hello." The boy said in the sweetest voice ever. His lips quivered along with his voice. He looked at Taehyung with a pair of doe-eyes that seemed to reflect every single star visible in the sky.
Taehyung smiled softly before sitting down next to the boy. "Hi, I'm Kim Taehyung." He said, keeping his voice down a little, not wanting to scare the boy. The boy blinked, probably confused as to why a stranger would randomly sit down next to him and introduce himself like that.
"J-j-jeon J-jungkook, s-sir." The boy stuttered, teeth clattering uncontrollable. Taehyung quickly took the denim jacket he had put in his bag out and wrapped it around the boy, not even bothering to ask if he needed it, knowing how hard it was to talk like that. "T-thanks."
"My pleasure." The blue-headed said, smiling widely at the good deed he had just done. He was about to stand up and walk away when Jungkook grabbed his wrist. His hand seemed to be at normal temperature, warm, even... but why was he feeling so cold?
"I'm s-sorry, but- d-do you k-know where I can find a hotel, sir?" The boy asked, stumbling over his own words.
Taehyung frowned. "All the hotels are closed, you can't book a room at this time." He told Jungkook and the small boy let out a shaky sigh, letting go of Taehyung's wrist. "You shouldn't call me sir, by the way. I'm not that old." Taehyung said, not wanting to feel like he was older than his age. He found his own age too old already.
"Thank y-you. How c-can I repay t-t-the jacket?" Jungkook asked, looking into the blue boy's eyes. Taehyung thought about it a little. This boy had probably nowhere to stay, assuming that's why he asked about the hotel. Should he...
"Stay in my apartment tonight," Taehyung said, having done that before because, as already said, he's a very caring person. He saw the small boy's big eyes widen even more, making him look like a confused kitten.
Even though Taehyung couldn't see any facial details in the darkness, let alone the actual color of his hair, he found the boy beautiful. Just his eyes were enough to show that.
"S-stay? A-a-at yours? But you d-don't know me." Jungkook said, not understanding why the nice boy in front of him would let a complete stranger stay over. Taehyung saw how the boy was still slightly shaking and he didn't like it at all.
