Chapter 3 My "Special Surprise"

I really hate posting chapters 1 by 1 because I already have up to chapter 10 completed but.....I guess I can't nesscarly post all 10 at once even if I want to lol what can I say I'm not patient. I wanted to dedicate this chapter to my big brother just because this chapter was actually kind of based off of him. Agh that was really sappy I'm sorry just start reading. Chapter 3 My "Special Surprise"

"Alright listen you two," I said sternly if they wanted to do this for real then we needed to have a serious conversation. We were at the warehouse waiting for the rest of OC to arrive before we started my "special surprise." They both looked up at me like children taking orders from their parents. "Derek," I said turning to him "you are still co-captain which means you have to act like one so, no special treatment towards Rebecca once so ever is permitted." I know him and honestly I don't think he'll disobey any of the rules but, Rebecca on the other hand is still quite confused about everything so I decided to lecture the two of them anyway.

"Rebecca," I said and turned to face her "you will have no extra attention from any of us and, be prepared because once people figure out about you two you will be a major target for them. They want to be chosen more than anything and they'll definitely find you as a threat." I could immediately see fear wash over her face and anger on Derek's he wanted to protect her and I know that but he can't. I knew she still didn't know everything about C.2.R or even the basics but she knew enough to know that she's not only smaller than the rest but also unskilled and Derek wouldn't be there to protect her. She needs to use the one thing she has and they don't, her brain.

"You will soon meet the rest of OC and just to give you a tip I wouldn't exactly tell them who you are yet," I said to Rebecca. I knew I probably didn't have to tell her that since she'd probably not talk to anyone anyway but for some reason it still felt necessary to say. I could sense Derek getting nervous but I decided to not say what I wanted to say to him or at least not here.

"You guys know the rules and risks and if I see any funny business I will not only remove Rebecca from the squad but Derek too," I said. I honestly don't know if I meant that I mean I couldn't imagine this squad without him but, he needs to know the risks he may not necessarily be kicked off the team but he will suffer consequences. Derek looked at me with wide eyes now he was serious he wouldn't jeopardize the one thing he loved most in life. They both simply nodded to me "Rebecca go you need to get ready and stay with OC," she nodded and left silently.

I was left with Derek holding his head in his heads I sat in front of him and put my hand on his knee. He looked up at me "Stop stressing I'll try to protect her the best I can without making it obvious but, you know how this goes so don't expect her to be unscratched by the end of this," I said sincerely.

"I just don't want to put her through all this she's been through so much already," he said sadness in his eyes.

The door opened and Xavier walked in "Let's go," he said "they're here."

Derek and I stood up and walked out his fear and sadness immediately replaced with a blank expression. It's go time.

"Why are we doing this?" I swear I heard this question hundred times by now.

"Shut up and go get some gear," I replied annoyed. Everyone was still a bit confused about my idea but I knew once we started playing they'd forget about it. I'd done this before plenty of times it's really fun and it actually in some ways relates to C.2.R. They really don't deserve this especially after yesterday but the reservations were already done so here we are.
